Black Pearl In the City of Temples, this is a temple to not Opulance, not Decadance, but Delight. The Chateau of Resplendant Delights is overseen by Cynis Salara, and so is sought out by those who know the reputation of that House, as the Dynast seeks to uphold it. The first room is a lovely dining establishment, with teas, rice and noodle, a wonderful variety of foods, wines, liquors and more. Music--sometimes soft in the background, and other times a performance to be taken in--caresses the ears. And for those who want other more esoteric delights, they are escorted farther within the large building to indulge.

At the moment, Salara herself is out among the patrons in the outer room, the striking woman's form marking her as one of the Water-chosen.

Shining Azurite First Flowing Words was sitting quietly and taking in the Chateau's titular delights, her Sanxian resting lightly on her lap as she had managed to obtain a small bowl of noodles and a simple drink. In turth she was used to lower locations simpler arrangements. Here, it felt strangly wrong to simply ply her trade, no matter how confident in her skills she was. It felt more like she would need to wait, to watch, to scan the crowd and find someone to whom she could prove her work as she takes a long, slow sip of her liquor.
Fudou the Mountain It's safe to say that wherever Fudou the Mountain goes, there's something of a visual spectacle as he is, simply put, a walking mountain range of muscle and brawn that looks like something Isidoros himself would have sculpted where matter of sheer size and physicality is concerned. Add to this that of late this 'Exigent of Strength' has become something of a known presence in the area due to his exploits in the ongoing tournament known as The Convocation of Victory....and it's hard to miss him. Indeed, he emerges from the depths of The Chataeu's more esoteric offerings where sauna's, massages and other more..entertaining and private offerings may linger., passing through a wide arced elaborate opening and through the curtains like some sort of roided out Yedddim wandering through a herd of sheeps. A great ornate silken robe hangs loosely about his body like an open theater curtain with various golden belt like sashes about his waist and a great pair of dark patterned leggings that strain pitifully about his dimensions. He's scented appropriately and dressed richly with various golden thin necklaces encircling his barrel sized neck and an earing within an ear. To those that know him - he's basically cleaned up quite a bit. The Chateau does good work it seems.
Black Pearl An obvious Exigent is certainly a welcome guest, and the staff greet Fudou as a known regular. "I hope that our service still meets your satisfaction, sir. Will you be staying for a meal?" The watiress is cheerful and curious to him.

Pearl walks through the establishment, and she pauses when she sees the sanxian, and the she looks at the lady. "Good evening, and welcome," she says with a warm smile. "It is uncommon to see a musician among the clientele, and so now I am curious: Who are you? What brings you here?"

Shining Azurite First Flowing Words blinks once, then twice, before she nods, turning her head away from the Mountain. Still, she recovers quickly. "Hello. And indeed, so I noticed." she says. "First Flowing Words, charmed to meet such a gracious and efficacious host. In truth I had hoped..." she hesitates for a moment. " I had hoped to ply my trade. But I think that I am a bit out of my depth." she says, managing an awkward smile. "When I heard of an establishment I was picturing, fewer rooms, and only an occasional player. The kind of place it is simple to slip in, play while people have the patience for it, and slip out. I had not expected such...splendor. Makes me think Great Forks is almost a different world entirely."
Fudou the Mountain The colossus strongman turns his attention towards Black Pearl, seeing her some distance away and he levels his gaze on her while a slow grin begins to stretch across his broad expressive features.

"Yes. Yes." he rumbles, not intending to sound impatient but seemingly distracted as he answers the patient server who attends to him as he looks towards Pearl and the woman she is speaking with.

Finally, Fudou lowers his gaze down towards the woman before him and he nods his head in approval.

"You've done well! I am satisfied...." he reaches into the depths of his robes and plucks out a pair of rounded glasses which he sets upon his nose.

"I will stay for a meal." he finally affirms before moving past her to begin a slow steady approach towards Pearl and her new customer. His footfalls rumble the very ground but a combo of deliberate care and no doubt the construction of the resplendent place keeps people upright though tables rattle and liquids vibrate in his passing. He says nothing more but his approach is not easily ignored.

Black Pearl "Ah, there are certainly...lesser establishments if you wish to go there. Look in the outskirts of the city, and there are quite a few. But here? I have worked hard to have this establishment have the highest class of entertainment. Of all sorts."

She smiles warmly, and is about to speak when the heavy footsteps start to roll through the establishment, and so she looks ove to Fudou and smiles. "Hello again! I'm so glad we could pry you away from the Arena! I am sure that many of your fans would enjoy your comapny there! Still, you are always welcome here. Just let me know if you need my special services." She laughs with delight. "I was just noticing a musician here, and wondering if she was seeking employ."

Shining Azurite First gives a small nod as she listens. "Of course of course." she says. "But..." a small smile creeps on her face. "I still think you should hear me play?" she suggests. "If you're not too busy." she adds. "I know I seem rather humble, but I did pick up a lot in the Empire and...well, if nothing else, novelty is a type of class all its own. I'm not asking for high pay, or a permenent position. Simply a chance to refresh the palate of your clientele. Cool water after.." she says

Before her speech is cut off, as she looks up at the man, her eyes rather wide as she nods and quickly adds. "But if you have more important customers to address, I understand." she says giving a long, polite bow to the man who towered over the table.

Fudou the Mountain The behemoth arcs both thick eyebrows upwards, lifting them towards his braided hair as his grin broadens at Pearl's words. Needless to say something she said there just surprised him and he ponders her words a moment or two before responding with a bemused rumble in his basso tone: "Ever the height of management and customer care you are, luv. Quick to offer that to me weren't you. Perhaps I -will- call upon you, mm?"

He then turns his full attention towards Azurite and he inclines his head, looking upon her and seemingly unphased or bothered by her wide eyed look. HIs grin becomes a close mouthed but still friendly and confident smile as he studies her and then he lifts a massive arm up and waves his hand back and forth to dismiss any concerns she was having.

"No, no, no. It is I who intrude. She was talking to you first, not me."

He reaches up and taps at his ear, still smiling at her as he inquires, "Did I hear discussion of music? You are a performer?"

Shining Azurite First Flowing Words looks to the man. "Ah! A refined visitor I see. I should have expected no less. Indeed, I am First Flowing Words. And I was hoping to perhaps find a place here, if only for a time. However I may have misjudged the sheer focus of this place. It is rare to see an establishment so consistant in its entertainments, or focus in its assurance of comfort, food and pleasure. But enough about me. I am sure a true patron of this place must have more enticing stories than a simple musician."
Black Pearl "Different days, and different times call for different performers. What I require is, of course, skill but also /life/ in the performance, but also to match the mood, the atmosphere," Pearl says. "So...if you wish to try out, I am sure that can be arranged. As for stories..." Pearl laughs brightly. "I have heard many of his before, but you are new!"
Fudou the Mountain Her words draw a bemused laugh from the goliath.

"Frequent visitor. But I don't know how -refined- I am. My finances are just as valuable as one with more elegant social skills though and I suppose when I am being entertained I am also entertaining and so she tolerates me, mmm? As to stories? Hrm....well I hate to be so put on the spot especially with such an endorsement from the establishment's owner!"

Fudou rubs his jaw, scratching at the freshly cut light beard there, likely also a result of the Chateau's ministrations, though it produces a sound like dried metal brushes being dragged over concrete as if hinting at the durability of and density of his flesh.

"Well what would you like to hear about? And I will say that if you are new here to Great Forks and this place is overwhelming to you...you should prepare yourself. This city is known as Decadence for many reasons..."

Shining Azurite First's eyes widen and she smiles. "That is all I ask." she says before she nods and turns more firmly to look at Fudou. "I am new indeed. In truth I have not been to many cities. Many places the great and powerful simply will....always take center stage. Be they a Prince of the Earth or...something else. So the rest of us must simply find places we can be in. But..." she gives a nod. "I finally felt an urge in me to give this a try, to at least -know-. But of course, I would like to know about you." she smiles more broadly. "After all, a man such as yourself must be noteworthy. I see no universe that petty men wouldn't size themselves against you. It is the way of things. To survive that must have led to a noteable life indeed."
Black Pearl "Here is where the great and powerful come to be entertained, so I seek skilled artists and artisans to grace my establishment," Black pearl says. "Were a Prince of Creation desire to perform, I could certainly accomodate him, but normally, he is here to be entertained, not to entertain."

"So perhaps an audition can be arranged for later. If you do well, we can see about something more long term. For now?" She looks to Fudou, and smiles fondly, "I can say that size is very important, or meaningless, in context, but I am glad to have his friendship."

Fudou the Mountain "Oh ho." Fudou grunts a little bit in amusement as he hears Azurite and he grins even further upon hearing Black Pearl.

"Why thank you, luv.." he rumbles before looking back to Azurite, "Well.. as to your comments and questions, you tell no lies there. It's been both curse and blessing so far as people harassing me goes. But if you are asking in a round aboutway about where I am from.. Orignially the Dreaming Sea..."

Indeed there is the faintest accent in his deep voice, something Pearl would have long ago known. The hint of firetongue that is in his cadence and of course, size aside, the features of his ethnicity imply the south east as well.

"Volivat to be precise. I am Yennin, the scion of 'Ten Fathers'.." he holds a finger up and then says with a grin, "And do not ask me how that works unless you want a bawdry tale best for a sailors pub or somewhere in the back of this establishment." His tone suggests jesting an amusement though he does add, "..Though I will say it's not what you may think. EIther way, we 'Yennin' are such we could contend even with the Dragonblood of Prasad and often did. I was particularly ....well..bred..for my size, strength, virility...."

He pauses, looking thoughtful and distant for a moment before continuing, "A matter I will not speak of, led me to becoming as I am today. An Exigent of Strength and Mountains.... I have had many adventures, even spent time as a Champion Gladiator of The Hundred Kingdoms but Great Forks...er...offerings...have managed to keep me busy."

Shining Azurite She nods and smiles more. "I see." First says simply, comfortably, listening and giving a nod. "And I think I will avoid the bawdy tales. At least for here." she adds, looking back and forth. "But yes. I would love to set something up...after you have taken care of your true guest I think." she looks firm. "After all, while I am sure our gracious host spends much time among beings so powerful as you. It is best for me to clear myself away, so that you may have her full attention. Still." she takes a long sip. "When I am less clouded by this drink, and all are more free. I should hope to see you again." she carefully settles her account on the table, and then stands, effecting a wobbling stronger than is convincing, and retires for the night.
