Silk Moon Lotus the early afternoon finds the docks a bussle as always. The cries of the birds along with the dockside vendors meld into the noise of the ships themselves. The dockworkers loading and unloading verious ships while yelling to each other over what catch to bring home tonight.
Silk had made her way down to the docks once more to look at each of the ships that have come in today. She's become a regular each afternoon looking at each one with the eye of a seasoned sailor. She stops about halfway through the lineup looking around but not at the ships. She appears to be searching the crowds for someone. Her long raven black hair blowing in every direction. She's dressed comfortably in a bright blue blouse and brown pants with leather boots.
Misa It's a strange place for a quick, casual meeting, the docks of Great Forks. More often there's direct transactional business, here- which is perhaps not often Silk and Misa's acquaintanceship in description. And yet, here the Lookshyan-seeming woman is, walking quietly down the row of docks and working areas to the particular one she was asked to meet Silk at.

She's dressed as pragmatically as ever, only a few flairs in her mode of dress- and relatively lightly armed, considering she only carries the two short straightblades and has them stowed in her sashes in a relatively inconvenient-to-access location.

She offers a silent nod as she approaches the other woman and gains her notice, smiling faintly as she draws near. "I believe you sent word you had something to ask?"

Serene Herald Perfect Question is dressed more lightly than usual today, in shades of green rather than the usual black. He still has a sword scabbarded, ready to draw, but he seems at ease as he watches. Everything.

He follows Misa, a couple of steps behind, and gives a courteous nod to Silk, while also pulling a small wagon that has a number of bags of goods within.

Silk Moon Lotus Silk nods her head. "Thanks for coming out. I heard about your fight with the monk in the arena, sorry that I missed it. I did make good coin from it though. Thanks for winning." She smiles at Perfect Question. "I don't believe we have met. I'm known as Silk Moon Lotus in the city. A pleasure to meet you." She glances at Misa questioningly.
"I did want to ask you about your sword styles. Do they work with two handed blades or only single handed ones? I'm recently aquired a great sword and wanted to find a way to use it in combat without looking like a thug with a big stick.
Misa "Well, I do know a fair amount of one workable style that could use such a sizable blade- although, for familiarity with that particular one... my student here surpasses me. I learned what I know of that one watching him drill and practice between learning sessions of the style I taught him," Misa answers, nodding over to Question with a faint smile.

"Truth be told he more expanded his repertoire than advanced his overall skill, learning from me. You could find far worse people to teach... assuming he is willing?"

Serene Herald "Greetings, Silk Moon Lotus. I am of being called Perfect Question," he responds in Flametongue-accented Riverspeak," he says. "I have been studying from Misa the Single Point style, but yes, I have a style mastered, at least hte basics. There are intricacies at the pinacle I have yet to learn, but I am able to be doing the teaching, should you desire."
Silk Moon Lotus Silk raises an eyebrow. "You certainly have my curiousity master Question. I would be honored to learn from someone who can teach me to wield this weapon more effieciently. I am a bit of a dabbler. I know a few other styles. I'd be interested in learning Single Point as well. I could teach you Ebon Shadow or Golden Jannisary if you like."
Silk looks at the ships and seems to listen to the wind for a moment. "I don't think any of these ships will get me where I need to go. Perhaps as far west of Lookshy or Nexus. Then I could find another ship." She smiles to her companions.
Misa "How far west are you -intending- to go? Even Lookshy is quite a way off, are you visiting the Realm? Or farther still?" Misa asks curiously, head tilting. "I had thought you fairly attached to Great Forks but that is likely to be some time away from it, if you are travelling so far," she adds, voice stil lin those curious tones.

She steps back slightly, letting the other two speak for the duration of their discussing of styles. "And yes, my apologies, Silk. I favour rather more moderate, or even small blades with my general preference for swiftness and such- and the styles I practice. Still, you will be in good hands."

Serene Herald "I am of working well with swords, but not as yet branching out. Still, perhaps I can be of learning later. And teaching certainly, perhaps for favors owed," Question says. "As for boats? Unchancy things. Still, faster to travel long journeys. Have you one in mind? Wish you horoscopes to be cast?"
Silk Moon Lotus "What kind of favor would I owe? I've already promised a prince of the earth my aid when she calls for it."
She looks to the West and nods her head. "I know not how for I need to travel. Only that I hear something or someone calling to me. Far to the west, beyond the Blessed Isle." She ponders the question. "perhaps a horoscope couldn't hurt. If you are willing. I can pay as needed."
Misa "Perhaps simply rule out watching his pet while he is away," suggests Misa, faint amusement playing about her lips for the moment. "It is a curious thing, a rather large spider with some... oddity he has yet to quite explain."

She shrugs it off, glancing downstream of the great river the docks service. "I would say it is a bold thing, to follow such whims, but... I suppose I am of that persuasion myself and would mark myself something of a hypocrite. Whatever it might be, hopefully it does not take you too far that the trip back is unmanageable."

Serene Herald "Teaching, perhaps a different thing than styles? I will not be pressing too much. And we can be of working out the exchange later when we are going to start learning," Perfect Question says. "Horoscope I can be casting as well, though better it is, the more I am knowing of you, your birth--and the type of endeavor. No more than you are wanting to tell--aside from time and place of birth. That is of being essential."

He looks back to Misa, "The spider is not of staying behind, fortunately. And is well-behaved. For being a spider, at least.?"

Silk Moon Lotus "My birthplace and the date." Silk consideres this for a few moments. she pulls a piece of thin paper from her sleeve along with a charcoal pencil. She writes down on the paper a place and time. "This should suffice, yes?" She thinks about the offer. "I would be happy to teach things that are not fighting styles as well."
Misa "Well, perhaps I had best have a small study room built somewhere on my dojo grounds, seeing this exchange. Offer to teach the ways of spirits or the art of investigation, in addition to the martial arts," Misa muses aloud, a breath escaping her that *almost* manages to sound like a chuckle. Almost. Sadly, the woman's personality is about as vibrant as dried mud.
Serene Herald "Well it should! It will be taking up to a week to do properly, and then I will be presenting you the findings, if I am knowing a place to do so. Otherwise, can be meeting at the dojo, if neither of you are minding?"

"As for ships...I can be doing star-readings of them as well, to be seeing which are auspicious for to be using in travels."

Silk Moon Lotus "I would be happy to come to the dojo. I have heard about it. I have not made the trip out. I think it would do me some good to get away from the city for a while. Is there anything you want me to bring Misa?"
She glances at the ships. "The song of these ships is wrong for my trip. They would not survive."
