Silk Moon Lotus The lounge has been converted into Silk's planning room for her trip to the west. Several stacks of papers along with maps of the scavenger lands leading towards the blessed isle and a few showing the near West. Silk's papers are organized except where errant breezes have knocked them over. She's managed to keep the papers and maps to a couple of tables in the room allowing it to still be used for it's intended purpose.
The late morning finds Silk sitting on one of the overstuffed leather chairs with the remains of her breakfast or is it dinner. She has a carafe of juice and a couple of glasses one that is half full. She has a couple of maps and some notes sitting on the table next to her.
Bright Journey There's a studied elegance in Bright's movements as she walks in, all smiles. She has a mug of hot tea in one hand, spicy and savory, and a plate of her own breakfast--mainly cheese and fruit--in the other. Today she has on a house dress in a nice burgundy, loosely belted at the waist. It's understated but quality, a kind of garment she wouldn't have been able to afford when she first got to Great Forks.

"Well, good morning, my dear! It -has- been a while, and I know it's probably mostly my fault." She smiles warmly and has a seat opposite Silk, setting her breakfast down and peering over the notes and papers. "Events have...-significantly- overtaken me, and I have several pieces of news! Some good, some bad, and some -amazing-."

Silk Moon Lotus Silk looks up from papers to her housemate and friend. She smiles warmly. "It is always a lovely day to see you." She sets the papers down and refills her glass of juice. She takes a sip and lets a low sigh of enjoyment out. "You have some news? I do always enjoy hearing news. Did you get that meeting planned that you were hoping for?"
Bright Journey Bright grins as she sips her tea, and despite wincing at the heat, doesn't stop smiling for a moment. She leans forward, elbow on the table in a most unladylike way.

"And then some, actually," she replies. "Turns out a number of people are already working on a plan for the tournament situation, and I made sure they factored you in. There's a plan to intercept the information the Nine Sheaves is passing back to...well, we -assume- their headquarters, but you and I have nothing to do with that. In fact, it's better if we stay away, since the whole point is to make it look like someone else attacked their ship. Someone like the ones in charge of the Field of Endless Raitons." Her voice grows darker for a bit. "You can imagine what -that- is going to entail, but the undead have been attacking other ships so it should look pretty natural. And if all goes well we'll scare them from doing this again for a while -and- collect plenty of the hard-stolen information they've been gathering."

Bright leans back, sipping at her tea again. "What I -do- need help from you on, though, is your idea to disguise yourself as an Immaculate priest. Several other people will be with you on that now, actually, including the best person we could have hoped for--Amethyst. She's got a damn good disguise herself, and she knows a -lot- about the Immaculate Philosophy, so hopefully we can draw out the guy and intercept his information.

"That leaves the actual Immaculates. We're not sure where they'll show up or how much they know, to be honest, but we'll have to be ready to deal with them." Bright sighs. "Part of me doesn't like the thought of ambushing them, but let's be honest--they'd do the same to us. We just have to be ready."

Bright beams at this point, sets her tea down and folds her hands on the table -just so-. Is she...-fidgeting nervously-? That's so unlike Bright it's peculiar, almost concerning. "That's only part of what I've been doing lately, though..."

Silk Moon Lotus Silk looks a little disturbed at the mention of using undead but stays quiet. "I'm sure that Amethyst and I can handle getting any information from the seller. I'll steal it from them if I need to. As for what we do with the Immaculates when they arrive. We can always pose as the seller and give them bad information. I'm mastered some disguise skills that will keep them from knowing who I am."
She gestures to a the map she was looking at "I cannot decide if I want to travel overland to the coast of the scavenger lands and try to find a ship there or try to hire a ship here to take me down the river. What do you think and are you making that trip to the hundred kingdomes soon?"
Bright Journey Bright nods in understanding--really, that's as good an answer as can be expected considering the whole undead angle--and obviously, it's not as if it was Bright's first choice either. Still, her reply is relatively simple. "We may or may not be able to fool them depending on when they show, but if we can do it that way, I'd prefer it." She chuckles. "Even if it disappoints Fudou."

Bright pauses at Silk's question, clearly a completely different direction than she thought the conversation was going to go, but she recovers quickly and gives the papers and maps a studied, intelligent look. "Well...hrm. With magic, you can definitely travel faster that way, but that's tiring and really not very fun. I think part of the point of this is to relax a bit, isn't it? I think a lot of it depends on when and where you'll be able to buy a ship that can take you that far. I'm sure Great Forks has large ships but I don't really know enough to know if the ones they'd sell here are designed for that kind of open sea journey. We might have to ask around..."

Bright starts fidgeting again, clearly excited. She's acting like a little girl! "Aaaand to answer your question, Fudou, Tiziri and I are going to have to talk about it again once we're finally done with the tournament. I don't think it'll be all that long now, but there's sure to be some excitement before the end. It'll be good to get that behind us! The plan to visit Raksi can happen anytime, to be honest. The nice thing is I can travel pretty fast by magic, so I might be able to catch up and join you after it's done! I'd just need you to be able to send Infallible Messengers to me to explain where you are. You do know that one, right? If not, I can teach you, and we really should have that anyway."

Bright actually giggles at this point, completely unlike her, as she's almost visibly ready to drop the other shoe. She can't contain herself any more. "Maybe...if he's up to it, I'll bring my mate along!"

Silk Moon Lotus Silk nods her head as she's listening to Bright. The last piece of information causes her to stop moving for a moment. "Your mate you say? I know that's someone you have been looking for some time. You found them or you know where they are? I would be happy to meet them if I don't already know them." Silk takes another drink from her juice glass.
"I don't know Infallible Messanger yet. You'll have to teach it to me. I've learned a different spell called Corrupted Words. I figured in the information business it might be useful." She winks at Bright and smiles again.
"So, tell me about the mate."
Bright Journey Bright drains her entire teacup, not even really noticing that it's still scalding. She sets the cup down on the saucer, taking a deep breath and visibly trying to calm herself down a bit, without a whole lot of success.

"His name is Wandering Tree. He's a big guy...not as big as Fudou, but not all that far off, to be honest, and he's a Full Moon warrior. His...what do they call it? His totem is a bear, if that gives you any idea. I've been taking him around to a few places, showing him the sights, introducing him to people. I wanted to bring him here today, in hopes of meeting you, but he does his own thing sometimes and I didn't hear back from him. I admit, I haven't really considered inviting him here yet in any other way. There's..." Bright sighs and leans back, thoughtful and a bit wistful. "Meeting my Lunar mate was -nothing- like I thought it'd be. I thought my old memories, my dreams would all come flooding back to me. It's nothing like that. We're -not- the same people we were in ancient times, despite the connection we -know- is there. We're...still trying to figure out what we are to each other, but just to make it clear, I haven't taken him as a lover." She smiles a bit wickedly. "Yet. Don't get me wrong, he's a pretty rugged guy and that is -not- off the table. But it's too soon, really. If you see me inviting him here without anything else planned, I think you can assume that has changed. But not yet. Also, I wanted to make sure you're okay with him being here, since I haven't forgotten you own the mansion."

Oh. And...yes. I'd be happy to teach you Infallible Messenger. I think it's really important that we be able to talk over long distances, especially with these trips coming up, don't you agree?"

Silk Moon Lotus Silk smiles "Of course you can invite in to the manor. I wouldn't dream of denying you that. I also think it's wise to take things slow. You may find that even with him being your mate, that doesn't mean that you two will be together as a couple. I'm very happy for you. I wonder what I will find on the other end of my journey."
Silk nods her head. "I'm sure I'll have time to learn that before I leave on my trip. I'm starting to think the music is telling me to travel overland to the coast. That will take some time unless you have some other spell that can carry me long distances quickly."
Silk grabs a couple of the maps and brings them over. She sets one of them down. I think I should travel through Nexus and go down the river from there to the sea."
Bright Journey Bright smiles broadly and leans forward, patting Silk briefly on the shoulder. "I think you can relax on that score, Silk. I have no idea what you will end up finding, but I think you can take it for granted that you'll find it. We have so much going for us, after all."

Bright pauses, blinks once, and eyes Silk askance. "Silk. Dear. I think you should be drinking some tea instead of juice. Something to wake you up, though I know how late this really is for you." She beams, her voice teasing. "Your magic moves at least as fast as mine, and probably faster, Stormwind Rider. I think you're good on fast magic traveling. If not quiet." She chuckles and turns her attention to the maps. She points to Nexus. "At the very least, you're definitely going to find a better selection of ships here. If you were anyone else I'd be concerned about how dangerouns Nexus can be, especially for an attractive woman alone." She laughs lightly. "As it is, though, I feel like it'd be more fair to warn -them- about -you-! Still, though, I expect you'll be able to find what you need. Cities along the coast of the Inland Sea might have better vessels, but more Realm influence, too. Might be worth not coming to their attention."

Silk Moon Lotus Silk shakes her head ruefully. "I forget about the spell sometimes. I really do. I also forget that's how we got to the dreaming sea so quickly." Silk grabs a couple of more docments from the table and places them on the table. "There's treasures a plenty in Nexus. The stories say a bunch of the solars during the Usurpation were buried in very interesting vaults. Not sure we need to hit those but something to consider."
A wicked smile forms on her lips "I don't know what you are talking about. I'm sure I'll leave a few merchants with funds before I go. I know that I'll have to play down my abilities that close or inside Realm territory. I may have no choice getting where I need to go. I think I heard someone mention an island to the west called the Caul and may check that out."
Bright Journey Bright scratches her chin a bit, still peering over the maps as she listens to, and then answers Silk. "I could wish for something even faster, but to be honest, I don't think there is anything. There -were- other flying spells, but none faster than Stormwind Rider, at least as far as I recall."

She looks up, curiously, at the mention of tombs in Nexus. "Really? Honestly, I'd be surprised most of those haven't been looted already, to be honest. I wonder if some are so far buried the townsfolk haven't found them yet. Actually, I don't know much about Nexus, despite having been born there. I was...what, five when Mum and I left? I'm not even entirely sure."

Bright taps the map near to the Great Western Sea. "I've never heard of the Caul, but it's interesting you mention any one specific island. I know an island was what started this, right? Could that be the one?"

Silk Moon Lotus Silk nods her head. "Thanks for considering it. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't willing to go tomb delving in Nexus. It's not my goal and I shouldn't allow that to distract me from it."
"I remember my grandfather talking about the Caul. It's a warzone between the Realm and some group lead by a lunar I think. Something to do with both sided thinking it's holy ground or something. The place I'm looking for I hope isn't there."
Bright Journey Bright smiles knowingly. "Oh, let's be honest. Part of me wants to get away and do something like that. You might want to buy a ship -first-, though, and have it ready to sail. You know, just in case you have to leave in a hurry." She giggles a bit, hand over mouth. "But you're right, you have a different goal in mind. As for this Caul place, you might be best served asking Fudou or Tiziri. Rishi might know something too, though she seems less connected to the Lunar culture at large. Regardless, I hope it isn't there, either! But wherever you're going, you're already well aware it won't be as simple as exploring and finding something. And..." She sighs. "As capable as you are, I still worry some, you know? I have every intention of joining you, if the visit to the Hundred Kingdoms allow--and if you've set off and I finish afterwards, I still intend to come join you. There's just quite a bit happening." She smiles fondly.
Silk Moon Lotus Silk nods her head. "I was thinking I should buy a ship here. I think I should wait until until I get to Nexus. I'm sure there are better ships there for me to purchase. I guess it's time to head to the basement and look for that spell and maybe some clues on magical ships." Silk grins a little wickedly.
Bright Journey There's a knowing, pleased look that comes into Bright's eye at the mention of the downstairs library. "Heh," Bright replies, crossing her legs. "Magical ships? Honestly, putting together something like that could take -months- and a lot of time and effort. But it might be worth it. Maybe it'll use less crew, or move faster, or, well..." She shrugs, smiling. "All of the above. But that's a major project. Not as tough as the portals were, so I think it's -doable-. But while I know magic, shipbuilding is not my thing. I wonder if we know anyone who -would- know." She chuckles and finishes up her breakfast. "But I think we both know where to look! Sounds like a lovely way to spend today."
