Amilar Ereyo With the obstruction on the trade road cleared - thanks to the Titan Breaker's remarkable show of strength - the knot of travelers who all got stuck here with their carts, wagons, horses, or even on foot finally begins to unravel. More than a few turn wary gazes towards the huge man, but none dare proclaim him a bandit anymore. After all, today they've witnessed a miracle.

Ereyo watches the treck quietly, fidgeting with barely restrained impatience. She regards Titan Breaker with something between curiosity and concern.

Finally, when the worst of the traffic has passed them by, the sorcerer-engineer calls for her dust devil and invites her new companion to ride with her. "The inn is only a few miles down the road", she tells him. "If we overtake them, we can get there before the place gets overrun by travelers seeking shelter for the night."

Titan Breaker For his part, the giant man stands impassive and unconcerned as the looks are sent his way. He busies himself by brushing off the bits of dust and rubble that had gathered on his immense body and then following that, retrieves that great iron ball and chain and his drinking keg from their placement back at the boulder where Ereyo first encountered him. His back is slightly turned away from the entanglement of traffic and so most gazes that are sent his way are met by his gigantic back and the strained seams of his long jacket.

When he does deign to turn slgihtly to observe, it no doubt causes traffic to move just a wee bit faster..but he otherwise says not a word in the aftermath of his feat. No gloating, no declarations of his might or chastising of them for their treatment of him as a pariah earlier. Just silent observation from a shadowed, stern gaze.

This turns, eventually, to suspicious as Ereyo arrives by his side and he looks at her and then the dust devil and then back at her again... clearly hesitant to attempt to board it at first but a glance down the road and at the crowd seems to finally cause him to change his mind and he hefts his crude weapon over his shoulder and steps forward.

Amilar Ereyo The dragon closely observers her giant passenger's body language with her head slightly cocked to the side. "I assure you, it's quite safe", she says cheerfully. "Don't worry about your size or the weight of your, uh, equipment. I've used it to carry horse-sized artifact components more than once."

She extends her arms towards the dust devil and executes a series of complex hand gestures. The sorcerous twister obeys instantly, shrinking in height until its wide, flat top hovers within easy reach, barely a few handspans above ground. Ereyo demonstrates how to board the thing; there doesn't seem to be more to it than simply stepping on the rotating vortex. Air Essence keeps her floating steadily without ever touching the raging miniature storm, even as she lowers herself into a comfortable squat.

There seems to be enough space behind her to accomodate both Titan Breaker and his ball of iron, although not much more, really.

Titan Breaker "It's not a dust devil I'm concerned about.." rumbles the giant in that slow ponderous way of his. The ease by which she just expanded its size with casual gestures seems to confirm whatever was troubling him. If such an expansion was so easily done, so, he presumes, could be a contraction with him happening to be said cargo she's intending on freeing herself of.

Granted, she's been nothing but social and diplomatic with him but...well...one cannot be too careful these days.

"Do not go too high." he finally states with a deadpan tone before following her directions on how to actually climbm onto the whirling mass of air, settling his gigantic weapon next to him and leaning against it to balance himself better.

Amilar Ereyo That statement earns him a quizzical look, complete with a single raised eyebow, but Ereyo's only reply are a few words, spoken with military brevity in a neutral tone: "Understood. Better sit down."

To the Dragon-Blooded's gestures, the dust devil twists skywards again, raising its passengers to a height of several meters. A fall wouldn't result in certain death. Maybe a sprained ankle. Once this is done, the thing begins to pick up speed at a truly alarming rate. Headwinds tear at their hair and clothing as they rush towards their destination. The world around them blurs to a riot of colours. There's nothing to hold on to, but it doesn't seem necessary. Whatever sorcery causes this thing to move, it keeps its cargo safely glued to the twister's top.

They veer off the road and speed past the line of wagons, now nothing more than a smudge. Soon, they leave them behind.

Only a few minutes pass in this manner before a large two-storied building mainly made of wood comes into view, situated atop a small hill just to the side of the road. Another slight gesture from the sorceress, and the dust devil decelerates. She brings it to a halt just beyond the mud-trodden ramp leading up to the front door.

"See? We're early", Ereyo proclaims, beaming, then hops off the twister's top, even before it has finished lowering itself again. "Almost no wagons in sight."

Titan Breaker The look is noted but when she offers no protest to his 'request' and they also arrive without any of the suspectd trickery that was lingering in the back of his mind, Volken nods his head, eyes hooding somewhat in acknowledgement. He doesn't verbalize any gratitude nor apology for not trusting her but he seems..satisfied and more comfortable now.

The ground itself rumbles from his pressure as he slips off of the manifested wind with a heavy landing and then retrieves his weapon with a rustle of its chains. Getting it through the doors is likely to be a problem and he looks it over and then looks back to Ereyo again in consideration. Finally he turns and steps off of the path, to set the giant weapon down near a tree stump with a heavy rumble once more vibrating the area.

"Very good.." he says, speaking again finally in answer to her comment about the wagons. "Not crowded. More space."

Amilar Ereyo Ereyo gives a firm nod. "They've got low tables. Chair size won't be a concern if you can simply sit on the ground."

Indeed, when they step inside - with Ereyo taking the lead while Volken is busy looking for a spot to put his enormous weapon - they are greeted by a large open hall with several comfortable rugs, all arranged around an open firepit in the center, which is enclosed on three sides by a wooden counter. On each rug rests a long table, surrounded by seat cushions of various sizes. There are only a few windows, but enough oil lamps to bathe the whole space into cozy twilight. The stairs leading up to the upper level don't look like they would bear Volken's weight, unlike the wooden floorboards, which hold steady beneath his heavy step, only creaking occasionally.

Only a few patrons are currently scattered throughout the hall. They pause to spare a few glances towards the newcomers, then resume devouring curried rice, dumpling broth, and tea.

The staff seems to know Ereyo - they greet each other with warm smiles, then proceed to exchange a few pleasantries and blessings (attributed to the Immaculate Dragons). Volken is greeted just as warmely, although the smiles he receives speak of professional demeanor, rather than warm familiarity.

After placing her own order (a bowl of hot pot soup with dumplings and some tea), Ereyo motions towards Volken. "Have whatever you like. I'll pay the bill, as promised."

Titan Breaker In recent memory, the giant entered a run down tavern by forcing the lentil upwards with his barehand and steppign through the door, forcibly widening it in a show of deliberate force and presence.

Here he...takes care and ease to bring his great form through the front entrance, taking care to not cause undue disturbances though as he walks after Ereyo his very steps likely cause drinks, plates and bowls to hop up an down from the vibrations of his thundering steps.

His eyes flicker to those present, observing them quietly and taking note of the familiarity with Ereyo and as they greet him in turn he simply gives them a long silent look and then glances away after a quick curt nod.

"Mmm... The same.. But bigger.." he rumbles when the question of what he will eat is raised, opting to follow her lead albiet with a portion appropriate to his..well..immensity.

As to claiming a seat on the floor, this doesn't seem to be a problem for him as once she claims her spot he does the same, deciding that the soliditly of the ground is much better suited then crushing a chair beneath his mask.

Finally, at long last, he grumbles out a rumbling, "...Thank you.." towards Ereyo while reaching upt o remove his wide hat.

Amilar Ereyo Ereyo, now perched cross-legged on a bright red cushion, takes off her satchel and gingerly places it on the ground next to her. Unlike the Titan Breaker, she doesn't take off her weapon, merely shifts it's long sheath a bit to the side. The tea arrives while they're still settling in. Volken's cup isn't technically a cup, but rather a small bowl, the kind usually filled with rice.

With a deep sigh, the Lookshyan places both elbows on her knees, then folds her fingers to create a cradle she can rest her chin on.

Silence stretches between them as giant and dragon watch the innkeeper and her wife rush to the hearth in the hall's center, trying to find the biggest possible soup bowl. There's a hug pot of the stuff simmering close to the fire. Hopefully it will suffice to fill Volken's belly.

Finally, Ereyo replies without looking at Volken - she continues watching the two women as they ladle fragrant broth and dumplings into a truly enormous wooden bowl, the kind that is usually reserved for mixing a huge heap of ingredients with both hands before transferring them to a wok or pot. "No need to thank me. A deal is a deal, and you've certainly done your part."

After another long pause, she finally turns to face the Titan Breaker. The air around her never quite stops moving, an effect much more noticeable now that they have moved inside. Shifting colours in her irises betray some other kind of turmoil. She studies the giant's face, now no longer shielded by the shadow of his hat, with a slight frown. When she speaks again, she lowers her voice so that the few other patrons cannot easily overhear. "You said you broke a Deathknight's toy. After what you did to that boulder, I believe you - although I know almost nothing about those strange deathly Anathema that accompanied the Mask of Winters on his conquest of Thorns, I've heard enough of their terrible power to... fear them." Her voice quivers slightly before she regains her composure. "You... are not mortal either, that much I can tell."

Titan Breaker By now it is likely clear that uncomfortably long silences are a thing he does. As those heavy beats continue, the giant doesn't grow uncomfortable nor really give any indication that he's aware of the passage of time and instead just looks away from her, out over the inn, to watch the happenings - in particular the efforts to prepare his food. With his hat removed expression is much more apparent though the stoic and stern look seems to be relaxing gradually into something more careworn, perhaps even tired, as he begins to become less guarded. His large jaw relaxing and his small narrowed eyes opening slightly from their usually perpetual squinted and narrowed look.

At some point he seems to realize he's being studied and he turns slightly, sinew seeming to creak as his massive neck tilts his face in her direction and he looks Ereyo over as she speaks in hushed tones.

He then looks away, not answering for a heavy beat but this is no doubt to be expected at this point given his overall demeanor. Now, maybe, the silence between them becomes noticable as if he's opting for silence over answering her question and he stares for overly long towards the kitchen. Then..

"No." his deep voice rumbles, matter of factly and without any sense of pause or hesitation any longer. "..I am not."

The heavy words linger in the air for a few extra seconds, but not as long of a pause as usual as the big man speaks again, shortly, "Does that worry you?"

Amilar Ereyo "Of course not", Ereyo blurts out. Her reply comes fast... maybe a little too fast, even for the constantly fidgeting Air Aspect. Upon realizing this, she flashes Volken a tentative smile. "I've been dealing with the supernatural most of my life. If every single such encounter caused me to worry, how would I even function?"

It seems like she wants to say more, but is interrupted by rhythmic sloshing: The Titan Breaker's soup arrives, laboriously hauled over to their table by the two women. Both are middle-aged, but thankfully used to hard labor like this. Although their faces are strained from the effort, they still manage to smile at their guests.

The table bends beneath the bowl's weight. Like the inn's proprietors, it is sturdy enough not to break.

A second, smaller bowl is placed next to the soup, containing a variety of condiments: Red pepper slices, sweet pickled radish, kimchi, and assorted herbs. A complex aroma wafts up from the steaming bowl. Huge dumplings bop enticingly in the broth.

Ereyo's own soup, considerably smaller, arrives shortly after that, and the two are left alone again to face each other over their meal.

"I've met someone who was of similar size to you back in Great Forks, not long ago", the dragon continues while reaching for the provided spoon (Volken doesn't get a bigger one. Presumably the inn doesn't have spoons suitable for his size. The same seems to hold true for chopsticks). "A Chosen of the Little Gods, an Exigent." She lifts a spoonful of rich broth towards her mouth and blows on it. "At first, he seemed pretty intimidating, like you. Like you, he turned out to be a decent person."

Titan Breaker The description of the famed Exigent of Strength draws a slightly raised eyebrow from Volken. His stone faced facade adjusts slightly as his mouth tightens into a thoughtful frown. It seems he doesn't believe her, at first, but after some consideration he reaches a sort of 'why not' perspective on the matter. Creation is vast and even he is not so single minded to dismiss the possibility. He exists, after all.

He ponders these matters ...along with the dilemma of not having a soup spoon big enough for him to easily dig into the bowl considering the massive size of his fingers. This draws a slight frown as he considers this dilemma and he reaches up to lay a hand on the massive container to test its heat. Obviously if the middle aged workers were able to manage it despite its heat, he should be able to but..then again..these cooks can be made of sterner stuff.

Seemingly satisfied, he hefts the bowl up, balancing it upon a massive palm with the ease someone might apply to lifting a piece of paper. The table creaks as the weight is hefted from it and Volken holds it aloft with one arm, the feat garnering some long looks from others present though he is either unaware, or ignores them.

He then allows the very first, slightest, hint of a smile.

"Big. But probably not as strong."

WIth that he tips the bowl slightly, leaning forward towards it and actually carefully takes a sip, unbothered by both heat and balancing the contents so as to not spill it. He then nods with satisfaction as he moves it away and then adds after a pause.

"I am no Exigent."

Amilar Ereyo Just like the other patrons and the inn's staff, Ereyo is momentarily taken aback, despite having witnessed the man dispatching an entire landslide with his bare hands earlier. Unlike the others, she recovers quickly, while the mortals in the hall continue to stare, mouths agape, for quite some time, some whispering among themselves. A few exclaim their astonishment loud enough for all to hear.

Now Ereyo smiles along with Volken. With a bemused shake of her head, she tastes her first spoonful of the soup, then apparently decides that it requires more heat, and proceeds to dump every single slice of pepper from her own small bowl of condiments into the broth. "What are you, then? I've seen my share of elder Earth Dragons tearing open the ground beneath their enemies, but you don't have any Aspect markings that I can see." She peers at him with immense curiosity.

Titan Breaker Aaah. The question. It was inevitable. 'What Are You'.

It's why he normally avoids such social discussion. Socializing. Fraternizing.

He takes another long sip of the bowl and then sets it back down. The table creaks under its weight and he ponders it for a few long seconds, staring at it with careful consideration. Perhaps a touch too long. It seems he's hesitant to speak as surely he'd just have blurted it out if it was no problem, particular as she expressed being comfortable with supernaturals.

Finally he seems to shake free of whatever had been bothering him and he rumbles, "You're honorable to make good on your reward offer..."

There is a but that is lingering there ...however he seems to change directions abruptly and looks over towards her thoughtfully and then he turns the question back on her as he asks, strangely perhaps, "Would you dine with a lunar?"

Amilar Ereyo The few mortals in the dining area have returned to their own quite conversations or their food and drink by now. Ereyo watches Titan Breaker as he ponders. With every second that passes in hesitant silence, her smile grows a bit thinner, more strained, until it fades away to nothing, immediately replaced by a frown. She is no fool, of course. Someone who attempts to hide their nature from one of the Dragon-Blooded usually has a very good reason to do so. Her reaction seems genuine - she didn't expect this.

At his last question, she grows very still, frozen with a spoonful of soup on the way to her mouth. The lone dumpling on that spoon stars quivering slightly. This time, she is the one who hesitates for far too long. Dark storm clouds gather in her widened eyes, and the sharp scent of ozone begins mingling with the delicious smell of the food.

"That's... a strange thing to ask", she finally manages, voice high-pitched and hollow.

Titan Breaker "Is it?" asks Volken...eyeing her now with a neutral gaze, expression once again stone faced and stoic.

"You are in The Hundred Kingdoms. Lookshy is far. So is Thorns. You could encounter anyone. Anything. Would it change how you felt?"

His eyes bore into her now, mammoth hands resting on the table by the bowl and body relaxed in contrast to what seems to be the rising tension in her expression.

"Are actions more important then nature?"

Now that, perhaps, is a strange question considering his demeanor thus far. A brutish strongman, easily mistaken for a bandit, now probing her for thoughts that are likely not the venue of such behemoths.

Amilar Ereyo "I'm not scared of the unknown", she snaps. The violet of her eyes has fully changed to dark blue. Very slowly, she lowers her spoon back towards the bowl. Ereyo's gaze darts about the hall, only for a quick glance, taking note of all mortals present, of another small group of people now trickling in through the front door. Just as swiftly, she returns her full attention back to Titan Breaker and sits up straighter.

"What I fear is the danger I can ~see~. Are actions more important than nature, you ask?" Here, the dragon pauses to swallow, hard, then continued in that strained, horse voice, only just managing to hold her panic at bay. "I've been pondering this question for many years. Until... until I've met... one of them."

Ereyo shudders, but her next words are delivered in an entirely different manner: Her voice suddenly increases in volume, just as it lowers in pitch. The boom of distant thunder accompanies her speech, causing heads to turn into their direction once more. "So stop deflecting my question. I am asking you again, by the grace of the Immaculate Dragons: What. Are. You?"

Titan Breaker His eyes hold her in their own steely gaze as she speaks. Studying her intently and his eyes hooding slightly as she answers his question, to the best of her ability.

As the thunder rumbles in the room and her panic becomes more apparent, really apparent even before that point to him, he sighs and pushes the bowl away, creaking the table once again as his frown becomes more craggy, heavy and ponderous in turn. Quite the contrast though no visible manifestation of power occur. Well, nothing aside from the visual spectacle that is the sheer size of him simply moving his bulk and sinew about.

He sighs, heavily, looking tired once again and then finally shakes his head as he mutters, voice low..

"Calm down..."

It's a rumbling..request.. Not a command or a demand as was potentially inferred outside. "You're making a scene... I'm not a lunar. It was just a simple question. You...are bound by what you've been taught and also what you've experienced..... I suppose..so am I.."

He glances around, giving those looking their way a quick glance and then shifts his bulk away from them as best he can, facing her more directly. He then reaches up and pulls back his long coat. It was probably richly looking and well made once, before the wear and tear of just dealing with his massive size, antics and travel.

Of more import, however, is that his torso beneath is mostly bared save for an ornate war harness, framing his flanks and sides mostly like a vest, straining against his gargantuan vast physique of which she caught some hints of when he flexed that feat of strength earlier. The armor gleaming softly with the gold of orichalcum in its decorative make.

He lets the coat fall back over it like a curtain, the massive smash fists of similar metal briefly visible hanging by chains against his waist opposite her.

"Stay calm." he rumbles. "There is a crowd.."

Amilar Ereyo As the giant reaches for his coat, Ereyo's whole body tenses. She resembles a coiled spring - or maybe a thunderhead, ready to unleash its fury. Her hand twitches toward her daiklave... but at the sight of that magical golden metal hidden beneath Volken's shabby coat, she pauses.

For just a few heartbeats, her eyes widen in wonder, not in fear. Maybe she remembers the glint she's seen earlier, now recognizing it for what it truly is.

But the moment cannot last. As she catches sight of the smashfists, realizing how much orchialcum the Titan Breaker has on his person, fear returns, and with it, small bolts of lightning crackling through her eyes, winds stirring the surface of her soup. One can see the elemental Essence raging inside her, begging to be unleashed.

And yet... The mortals around them have gone still, quiet, staring at them both with growing unease - sensing the tension in the air, the storm about to come down.

Again, Ereyo shudders... and takes a few deep, shaking breaths. "Yes", she hisses. Straining against what her Essence compels her to do seems to take a lot of effort. At least she's speaking much more quietly now. "I know, and ~you~ know I won't risk hurting them. Besides... I'm not delusional, trying to take you on alone..." Her voice trails off, and she stares at Volken accusingly. "You've got some nerve."

Titan Breaker "I said. Calm. Down."

Now it's no longer a request. Volkens' eyes are already usually fairly narrowed and intense but now they become near slits as they look on her and the rising agitation.

"This tension. This danger. This is your doing."

He nods his head towards the crowds, noting their staring, their reactions.

"That..I'm used to. But they were at ease because you were at ease. Calm yourself. Center. Breathe...."

His deep voice softens as he becomes less agitated himself though his massive fingers drum on the table.

"Do actions matter?" he asks again, "...Why would you -want- to take me on? I did nothing ...nothing except what you asked me to do. You. I followed your urgings. I did good. Now you threaten me.. What nerve do I have? I was uninvolved. They were afraid of me. But you urged me to help, so I did. They wouldn't have shed a tear had I been crushed by the landslide I was moving...."

The hot pot is raised again, the soup sloshing about in it as he looks over the room and then, after a curt nod at the onlookers, he begins taking another long slow dragging drink of its contents, seemingly paying no mind to the turblence of air at the command of the air aspect so far as the onlookers are concerned.

Amilar Ereyo There's no denying the truth of his words. Neither can Ereyo ignore the rising agitation of the other patrons - and of the people running this inn, who now cast desperate looks toward her, watching the enlightened Chosen of the Dragons and the ominous giant with equal unease. Upon realizing what she has done, the Lookshyan finally remembers her training. She places both hands on the table before her, palms flat against the sturdy, scratched wood of its surface. Her features shift into a mask of calm concentration as she reaches for the Earth below her feet to steady her, to ground her, disperse the storm inside.

After a few deep breaths, sulky silence follows. Ereyo just watches Volken swallowing his soup. Her own meal is lukewarm by now, and the bowl still mostly full.

Slowly but surely, the mortals begin averting their gaze, muttering amongst themselves. It was probably nothing to worry about, they assure themselves. After all, a Dragon's temper is easily provoked. Everyone knows this.

As the silence grows longer and deeper between the Titan Breaker and Ereyo, her expression shifts again. This time, it's her thinking face surfacing from beneath her receding panic. She regards him with tense contemplation.

"You know the answer as well as I do", she says as soon as he begins lowering the bowl. "I'm sworn to protect the River Province, sworn to protect Creation, from any threat. Threats... like you." The hesitation in her voice is evident, but she tries to speak calmly, with authority. "If you are what I think you are, then why would you let me live...?"

Titan Breaker "Maybe....because..I'm not a threat?"

Volken's eyes narrow once more as the bowl sets upon the table, creaking it against its weight once again though not as much as before given how much content he's drained away. He eyes her once again, gaze piercing into her once more.

A long silence occurs once again before he finally looks away as if in search of something else to rest his eyes on and then:

"I am not a kind man. I've broken many for work, food, shelter. Bounties, mercenaries, the like... I would again to preserve my life. Just as any would if they had to. But.."

He quiets once again as if having an internal monologue. Thinking to himself quite visibly before finally turning to look back to her.

"I have never done evil for in response to good."

He pushes the bowl away, grinding it across the old wood of the table as he watches her, "Defend Creation.. But pick your targets better. Not based on what they are but what they do. Simple."

Amilar Ereyo Now it's Ereyo's turn to narrow her eyes on him. Still, she grants him the courtesy of hearing him out. His words are not without effect either - while he talks, she ponders with her gaze flicking this way or that, from Volken to the hall's high ceiling, over to one of the tiny windows and beck. A deep frown, born from both disapproval and concentration, settles on her forehead.

As the Titan Breaker ends his little speech, she regards him with a strange, intense look. "All of this makes no sense. Why come with me at all? You know of the Dragon's sacred hunt, don't you? Back when I offered you to join me on my dust devil, I saw you hesitate. Why not find some excuse to deny my invitation... or better yet, lie to me and pretend you're some kind of Exigent after I asked you?"

Titan Breaker "Mmm....that was a good one. Maybe I should have said that."

Is that a joke? Volken purses his lips in thought as if filing away that lie for another time.

"...Didn't think of it." he says finally, perhaps confirming what he just implied. Then he shrugs lightly and makes an absent gesture whiel sighing a bit, huge shoulders heaving slightly.

"Maybe the reason is that. Maybe....I did not feel threatened by you after it seemed you would keep your word. Maybe...I just wanted to talk. I don't know."

That last bit lingers as an open admission there before he finally adds to that, "You are alone. With no hunt. Your so called...Sacred Hunt.. Meritless that it is..."

The first hint of true vitriol emerges. Bubbling beneath the surface. He's not a fan and for obvious reasons..

"I thought..." he begins again, halting, as if searching his mind once more and then says simply, "I thought I could get my reward and ....talk. Stupid, maybe. Probably."

His massive hand reaches over for his hat now, moving to place it back on his head, "Your food is cold now."

Amilar Ereyo Ereyo shows him the merest sliver of a smile. Her expression remains grim... but not without compassion. They are both bound by rules they didn't make. She takes note at his reaction on the topic of the Hunt, slightly raising an eyebrow. The Dragon knows better than to poke him at this sore spot. Maybe she's not such a big hunter herself, after all.

"It's all right", she says, momentarily lowering her eyes at the cold soup. "I realized I'm not that hungry after all."

She makes no move to stop him as he picks up his hat. "It ~was~ stupid, but... I think I... understand", she blurts out, immediately looking embarrassed for herself after. "You are free to leave - it's not as if I could stop you without backup, as you've noticed. But... don't assume that I'm going to conveniently forget my duty. I ~have~ report you."

Titan Breaker That seems to spark something in the giant and he pauses his departure to hold up a finger as he turns away slightly.

"No. No, no. No. No."

Something seems to change in him, partially. A sort of rearing up, not physically, but mentally. A charge within as if something briefly fired up. A spark of insight as he says. "No. You don't. You don't -have- to do anything. You -want- to do it. Or you -don't- want to do it. You can decide on what to do and what to believe. Nobody is making you do that. Only what you decide for yourself. Including being the good soldier that does what is expected and not what should be done."

With that he rises, huge shoulders slumping somewhat as if whatever that was had drained him and he settles his hat onto his head firmly, shrouding his face once more save for the craggy boulder of a chin and the roughly unshaven bearded stubble there.

"Thank you for the reward.." he rumbles, "We will meet again..."

He then turns, preparing his departure though slow enough she has time to speak again if she will.

Amilar Ereyo Emotions pick up their weapons and go to war on Ereyo's face. The good soldier in her is appealed at what he's asking of her. But there's something else, the mind of an intellectual, a young innovator who believes into creating a better world... who cannot bring herself to rebuke his words, as much as her duty compels her.

And so she sits and watches in silence, stormy eyes wide open, as that strange giant man with the allegedly stolen power of the Sun burning within him turns to walk away from her, not lifting a single finger to harm her - or anyone else in the inn, for that matter.

She doesn't say anything, but he can feel her gaze burning in his back all the way to the door.
