Tepet Makara Although the night is quiet in the woods surrounding Greyfalls, the tavern known as the Jade Simhata is still crowded and is the opposite of the harmony of the woods for legionnaires are enjoying their free time when not in duty. Many here are actually preparing to take their leave to return to the Blessed Isle thanks to Calibration being close, yet ironically the dynast here cannot return due to reasons he cannot specify.

"Lord Makara, why are you writing a letter to your family instead of just you know, having a vacation back in the Isle?" A legionnaire next to his seat asks with curiosity as he wonders his liege didn't prepare to leave. "The duty of a prince of the Earth must be upholded Keles, besides I am no Cynis even if this legion is assigned to them." He sighs as he finishes penning the letter written in High Realm.

"Even if you'll leave back to your home in Arjuf tomorrow, we still have time for enjoyment later....in bed that is" It seems that the dynast has a more intimate relationship with one of his soldiers.
Titan Breaker The ground rumbles slightly.. Jerking and quaking in a steady ongoing rumble that decries the random jerking of an earthquake but instad speaks of the steady deliberate methodical footsteps of something particularly enormous and heavy...say an approaching yeddim or something else appropriately large. The intensity increases, causing some drinks to rattle on tables and dust to sift and plume up from between floor boards or drop from he ceiling above as whatever is causing these quakes gets closer and closer with subtle *tooms* getting more and more audible and rumbling into the hearing of those who listen and take note of it's approach.

The space of a few seconds passes and then a great shadow falls across the entry way of the dive followed by an enormous hand big enough to treat the skull of some animals like a childs ball, reaching up beneath the lintel of the entry way and then lifting up to grip at it. An immediate cracking and crushing sound occurs as the front door way is literally shoved upwards, crushing up towards the ceiling in a casual display of physical irrerevant power..and still the behemoth must duck his head and turn sideways to enter. Needless to say, his arrival is unsubtle but much about TItan Breaker usually is.

He seems oblivious oruncaring to any potential disruption that his presence or arrival might cause to those experiencing such revelry and instad begins to immediately make his way towards the bar, approaching it with little attention being given to anyone else and his massive hand reaching for the large keg hanging against his waist under his large jacket.

Tepet Makara "what was that?" The bartender nearby is baffled by the shaking of the ground, while keeping the glasses in cabinets from falling and breaking. Makara almost pulls his weapon beneath the table until he sees that the giant is a familiar face he meet in some parts of the Hundred Kingdoms. "No need to panic everyone, he's not here to cause problems" He says to everyone in the tavern with an assuring tone that the giant won't cause trouble.

He sighs and then approaches the gargantuan man that supposedly slew a deathknight's pet. "Oh, you're Voken right if I remember? What brings you here?" This giant must have a reason for coming here all the way to Greyfall's borders

Titan Breaker "Vol-Ken" corrects the giant without turning, head bowed as he studies the bar and the drinking potential, shadowed gaze resing heavily upon the bartender who no doubt, despite Makara's assurances, would wish the huge man would look elsewhere.

He then finally turns to begin taking in a good look of the tavern, taking not of the presence of the dynastic soldiers charged with their tasks and finally the 'Prince of the Earth' that has seen fit to approach him and speak once again.

"You." he finally says, after a long heavy pause. "I've come to find you."

Tepet Makara "Find me huh? Are you looking for something" Makara wonders what brought the giant near Greyfall's very doorstep. Although he has yet to see if he is an exalt or not, he is still wary for both him and his sake as one wrong move could attract the attention of the Wyld Hunt. "I suggest we should deal with this matter outside" He says seeing as the regulars of the tavern are disturbed by Volken's presence.

He urges the giant to talk about the matter privately for his very presence caused the tavern's atmosphere to be tense.

Titan Breaker An annoyed and frustrated sigh rumbles from the giant. A soft one, but he's large enough that it's hard to hide the fact that he's....irate.

But while dense he's also not a complete idiot and after a glance around, he nods his head and gestures for Makara to lead the way.

"Fine.." he adds, "If that is your wish..."

Once the dynast begins moving, he falls in step behind him, granting him some space so his long stride doesn't overtake or bowl him over and after some effort ducks back outside again. His great crude weapon, that gigantic iron ball and chain, can be seen near a tree and the giant turns and begins approaching it slowly once in the open again.

Tepet Makara As they head outside, Makara chooses to be in the dark woods. Even if there might be things that lurk there, the prince of the "earth" has no fear for such creatures "Now, what is it you want from me?" Makara says with a tired expression however he then tries to see if he still has that gold armor under his jacket. "Hmm, where did you get such an armor? Spoils of war? Found it in some gods-know-where?"
Titan Breaker The armor is indeed on but only quick looks at it can be seen as the behemoth moves. It's more like a war harness of sorts and almost could be ceremonial as it doesn't -look- like it provides him that much protection given that his bare torso and hulking body is mostly on display. But it is there.

To the question and also being taken more into the woods, the giant man grows more annoyed and then finally stops walking, as if not intending on going further even if Makara is. He's dragged his gigantic crude weapon along with him now, shouldering the boulder sized ball with a displeased set to his mouth and shadowed eyes.

"Did you forget?" he finally says, sound perterbed and impatient. HE then sighs slowly and unslings his weapon to let it rest on the ground.

"Payment." he finally says. "You said you would pay me to deal with bandits." He inclines his head slightly, "A job offer, wasn't it?> Strange, though, that a Dynast...would be invested in bandits in The Hundred Kingdoms...."

Tepet Makara "So just payment? Fine, either luxuries or money." He breathes with relief as the demand is not that absurd. "I keep my word so name your price" Although not one of the more prosperous dynasts, he can afford such prize even if he has the stipend of a patrician.

"Well Greyfalls is the center of trade here in the kingdoms, so bandits are a threat to the trade routes"

Titan Breaker He hasnt exactly named what he wants yet. It might be too soon to presume that his demand won't be that absurd and he's indeed, eyeing Makara with an expression that implies some degree of calculation, especially when e's effectively been given leave to name his own price.

But the discussion of Greyfalls seems to peak his interest as well. Strange, perhaps, since he seems so simple in his other pursuits, but the line of questioning continues:

"They pay The Realm no triburte. They are independant. Rise and fall like the leaves. You do this on your own?"

He might just be looking for a job. Then:

"Both. I will take both."

Tepet Makara "Fine I can do both. I do not know where you live but I shall deliver it to you" Makara gives a promising nod to the giant but notices his question regarding the bandits. "Sometimes when I'm not commanded around yes, they are a threat to the innocents in the Hundred Kingdoms. Wish I can deal with them all, whether with my troops or...I can slaughter them alone all by myself" Despite being a prince of the Earth, there is something feral and monstrous when he said that last part
Titan Breaker THe only reaction to the show of feralness and hint of a monster being there is a slight narrowing of the eyes. Volken turns slightly to face Makara more directly, studying him for a few seconds. He seems torn now. Curiousity as to that dragging his mind away from thoughts of reward and how to properly collect it since apparently going into Greyfalls itself without some sort of subterfuge may be off the table.

"So.." he finally asks, "..Why don't you then? I you think you can. THe kingdoms are large, they are many. Different gangs, different clans. They do it for different reasons. some out of malice. Many out of desperation for money, food, a place to belong. Can you solve that problem by 'slaughtering them'?"

Tepet Makara "I sadly have other responsibilities and my masters, House Cynis are busy with other affairs that only serve their self interest. Oh right you do have a point in some of them doing it for their needs, I can be carried away sometimes" He chuckles for a bit for it seems there was a crack in his demeanor. Although he has yet to see if Volken is an exalted especially if anathema, he then has an idea.

"Say, I can reward you again if you can do a favor for me. Do not tell this to anyone, but I heard there was an anathema going by Demon-Dragon Tyrant somewhere in the Hundred Kingdoms. I hear that monster resides in a graveyard in one of the abandoned towns. I'd like you to see to confirm the anathema's existence"

Titan Breaker "An 'anathema...."

Immediate suspicion drifts onto Volken's face as he turns to face Makara once again. THe frown on his broad features is rather noticable but he's also considering this very carefully.

"What makes you think I would not just die?" he asks bluntly, 'Are they not powerful demons? If this is true why would you not send your Sacred Hunt?"

Regardless of the answer, now that the bait has been planted...it's clear he's itching to take a look though he attempts to hide this via his words. "In a graveyard? A shadowland? What else do you know?"

Tepet Makara "Well you did kill a deathknight's titanic pet. I'm not sure if you can face one in battle but you might stand your ground with such stature and strength. This Demon-Dragon Tyrant is in an area where the Realm is looked upon, so the Wyld Hunt may meet some troubles if they do persist in chasing the demon down.

Since he's from Thorns and has experience with dealing against the undead, he gives another detail that may interest him. "The demon-anathema in question is not in a shadowland however he is a necromancer, so he may raise those corpses as part of his army. I hear he's a Lunar but they are all the same to me along with the deathknights" He says with exaggerated hatred of anathema like a typical dragonblood but it sounds like a caricature expression. "I don't expect you to fight him but just observe. He won't immediately attack those who are not part of the Realm from what I heard"

Titan Breaker "So despite being the same to you, you would send me instead of going yourself....I see..."

Volken's voice is dry but he's fallen into the trap. He can't -not- go even if he may not realize Makara knows that very fact. "The price for this will be high...." he warns. "Espeically if it's as you say, a lunar. Shapeshifters, tricksters, monsters. He could be a badger or a beaver and I would never know it. Never find him. Until it was too late but I suppose it's of no consequence to you. Maybe you want to get out of paying me what I'm owed.."

His nostrils flare with distaste and distrust but, shaking his head, he doesn't exactly refuse the job.

"I will name my price when I return.."

So he intends on returning, it seems. "And yes...I did break the pet of a Deathkight.. But I did not break the Deathknight himself..."

Tepet Makara "I bet you can do it if you do confront him....or at least his undead minions. Just tell me what you know even if you do encounter him" Seeing as there is someone waiting for him back in the tavern, he has to leave for now. "I have other things to do while I hope you come back safely and meet again." As Makara turns to leave, he gives a predatory grin. "Meet again but with a different face"
