Amilar Ereyo Raised in the early decades after the founding of Great Forks, the Violet Meadow's great library towers right in the center of the academy ground's sprawling gardens. Curtains of flowering vines drape the massive stone walls of the five-storied hexagonal building like green curtains. The roof is a massive dome of multi-faceted crystal, allowing for daylight to reach even the lowest floors through their open architecture. Nearly every single inch of wall is covered in bookshelves. Soft carpets allow both librarians and students to move about silently.

Inside, new arrivals are greeted by a bleary-eyed clerk at a desk, handed a small Essence lamp for the duration of their visit, and reminded not to disturb others with noise. Consequently, the atmosphere is contemplative, quiet, filled only with the sounds of rustling paper and infrequent coughs. Amilar Ereyo has claimed a small reading table on the second floor near the railing - one can still spot her from the ground floor, should someone come looking for her. Two huge piles of books flank her. She seems completely absorbed into one massive tome in front of her, feverishly taking notes with a glass dip pen.

Rishi A melodious voice reaches Ereyo's ears, cutting through her absorbsion for a moment. "Is this seat being taken?" And the scraping of a chair as someone sits at the far side of the table. If Ereyo looks up, she'll see Rishi sitting there with her own stack of books, smiling at her. "I hope you are not minding the sharing of the table, there are not being many that are being free."
Amilar Ereyo The Dragon-Blooded looks up after a second, blinking in confusion. She clearly didn't hear Rishi approach. Maybe she wouldn't even have noticed her , had the "Exigent" just sat there without saying a word.

Rishi can see that the bags beneath Ereyo's eyes are mostly gone. Overall, she looks much better already - less tired, more energetic, although no less fidgety. Her surprised stare quickly transforms into a friendly smile, if a bit flustered. "Oh... it's... it's you. Greetings, Rishi. Of course I don't mind... feel free. Are you... Do you come here often?"

While she's saying this, Ereyo quickly reaches for a nearby scroll and drops it on the open tome. She isn't exactly good at this sort of thing - Rishi could still snatch a glance at the Old Realm hieroglyphs on the page. The words "Lunar" and "Anathema" jump out at her from the text. There are pictures, too... of the Lunar caste marks, each with a blurb of text beneath it.

Rishi Rishi smiles sadly. "I would love to be coming here much more, but I am not being the student, so I am only being allowed to be coming in once in the week. The reading is being most joyous though, yes?" Rishi looks over at her book. "What were you doing the studying of, most of the intently?"
She lowers her voice. "And, how are you doing the feeling now? You do not have to be doing the talking about it here, of the course, but I am hoping you are feeling somewhat the better now?"

As she's apparently off duty, Rishi is wearing a tight blue crop top that leaves both her stomach and back bare. If she stands, Ereyo will see that she's wearing a tight pair of knee length pants of a darker blue. Not exactly the most scholarly of outfits.
Amilar Ereyo The moment Rishi's gaze drifts toward the now mostly covered tome, Ereyo quickly turns the page on her small notebook, denying her new companion the chance to peek at her notes. Now it's only showing a set of blank pages.

As usual, the Air Aspect is dressed in her casual uniform (of which she keeps several, rotating through them while the worn garments are washed by her staff - as Rishi knows well, thanks to her spying on the Lookshyan). Her daiklave hangs at her side, but there's also a small iron lantern sitting on the table next to her. It certainly doesn't look like an Essence lamp. Although it's not lit, a small wisp of clearly magical flame hovers inside, pulsing in a soft rhythm.

She reaches for a damp cloth and begins cleaning her pen, glancing at Rishi now and then. Whatever interesting features of Rishi's anatomy might be on display, they don't catch Ereyo's eye at all. The artifact collar around the other Chosen's neck, on the other hand, is examined with interest.

"Oh, I'm just doing some minor research. Nothing important at all, just trying to clear my head for the engineering problem I'm currently working on. It sometimes helps to focus on something else entirely for a few hours." It's only after these words that she meets Rishi's eyes, and continues: "I'm feeling a lot better already. Thank you for your help - your tea is a veritable miracle. I'm going to need more of it soon.."

She trails off, then quickly glances over her shoulder. With respect to the library's quiet atmosphere, she keeps her voice low. "That collar is beautiful", she adds, smiling brightly.

Rishi Rishi smiles. "Ah! Thank you for doing the noticing! It is being a minor of the artifact, so that I am always being the clean. Which is being most nice, yes, but I am doing the wearing of it to be sure to be keeping my patients the healthy."
Rishi reaches out and strokes the iron cage. "Your little friend is being most cute too." She gives the Lookshian a once over out of the corner of her eye while she looks like she's concentrating on the cage. "Is this being the elemental of the fire?"
Amilar Ereyo Ereyo's shoulders relax, and she chuckles lightly. "It suits you well." Her eyes flit to the wisp, then back to Rishi - more precisely, to a flower spouting from a decorative vine over the other woman's ear. "Not a fire elemental, no. A flaming sword that guards me against harm. Sorcerers in Lookshy are not permitted to learn summoning... well, with the exception of sorcerer-exorcists, of course."

A soft breeze ruffles Ereyo's hair, and slightly disturbs the fine rice paper of her notebook, prompting her to place the cleaned pen squarely over the pages for weight. "That flower of yours feels... familiar. It's woven of Essence, isn't it?"

Rishi "Ah! You are having the keen eye. Yes it is being the minor protection spell, much as yours is." She lowers her voice further. "Not all places in the city are being the safe, so carrying the protection is being most wise." She flexes her wings. "Of course, if there is being the problem I can just be doing the flying away, but it is being good to be having the protection from any of the thrown rocks." she looks sad for a moment, eyes hooded with memory.
"...Any of the way, I am being most glad you are feeling better and most sorry for doing the distracting of you from your research. As I am having the books as well, shall we just do the reading together, before the librians are doing the shushing of us?"
Amilar Ereyo A slight frown appears on the Dragon's brow at Rishi's mention of thrown rocks. For a moment, she looks poised to ask something... but her lips press shut when the winged woman brushes over that moment with her own words.

After a curious glance at Rishi's stack of books, Ereyo's eyes light up with delight. "It would be my pleasure. I hope you don't mind the intermittent breezes stirring your pages...? I really have no control over that", she admits, smiling sheepishly. "If you want to take notes, feel free to use this." She taps her small inkwell - a fine, flat glass bottle filled with blue liquid." I get my ink imported from a vendor in Lookshy proper - it's easy to clean while wet, yet completely waterproof once it dries, and flows nicely."

While she talks, she closes the big tome - the one about Lunar Anathema - and moves it to the side, behind her own stack of reading material, then reaches for another book at the top.

Rishi Rishi's reading material is eclectic, consisting of a couple of popular novels (one romance, one wild fantasy), one dictionary of herbs that focuses on far eastern plants, one text on advanced calculus, and a book of local dances.
"Ah! Thank you, that will be most of the helpful." She pulls out some paper and the calculus book and starts flipping through it and making the occasional notes.
Amilar Ereyo Ereyo happily dives into her own reading (after taking note of what Rishi is doing). She quickly becomes absorbed in the task, humming quietly to herself, and almost constantly bouncing one of her legs or tapping her feet while she reads and scribbles notes, complete with small sketches, at breakneck pace. Her invisible anima produces the occasional gust of wind when she discovers something of particular interest.

Most of her books seem to be about various topics related to engineering, metalworking, and Essence manipulation. The big tome stays hidden out of Rishi's line of sight.

"It's nice to have someone to study with", Ereyo says when they both have a short window of turning their pages, cleaning their pens of old ink, and reaching for a different book. "Reminds me of my days back at the academy." The Air Aspect smiles warmly. "We could do this regularly, if you like. Maybe I could call in a few favors to allow you access to the library more often..."

Rishi "Really?" Her face brightens. "You would be doing this for me? Oh thank you!" she sighs happily. "They are having such the good collection here, but I am never having enough of the time with it." She picks up the romance novel. "I'm being only halfway through this series because people are always having the books out when am able to be here to do the reading. It is apparently most of the popular. Are you knowing it?"
Amilar Ereyo The Dragon cocks her head, peering at the novel's title, then shrugs. "I can't say I do, but the title sounds familiar. My students keep chatting about it. It's a love story, yes?" She doesn't seem completely disinterested, but there's definitely a cautious air about the way she asks that question, as if she's wary of stirring up something uncomfortable.
Rishi "A most spicy one, yes." Rishi smiles saucily, then frowns. "But that it not being something that everyone is doing the enjoying of. If you would rather, we could be doing the talking of the maths?"
Amilar Ereyo Ereyo's shoulders slump with relief. "I would prefer that", she agrees. "It's not that I ~hate~ romance stories... I just don't find them very appealing, so if you wanted to talk about that with me, it would be an extremely one-sided conversation." Her smile is apologetic. "Do you need help with something, math-wise? I've memorized most of the calculus books in that aisle over there."
Rishi "Well, I've been trying to do the getting of the more accurate idea about the volume and the mass of the plant materials I'm doing the using of, and they were doing the telling me that the integration can be the most helpful for that, but it is being most complex." She pulls out her original notes and comes around to Ereyo's side of the table, glancing down at the large book while she passes the notes over. "Here is the problem I am doing the having, do you think you can be helping me?"
Amilar Ereyo That tome that Ereyo was trying to hide looks quite old, it's cover worn and faded, the parchment pages yellow with age. Rishi can just make out the Old Realm title; it seems to be not just about Lunars, but about the terrible powers of several types of anathema in general, including Solars. Ereyo's eyes follow Rishis movements carefully - she might notice the other woman's curious glance towards the tome, but doesn't mention it. Instead, she helps Rishi with her math problem, explaining it to her along the way, so that the Exigent's mind can grasp it quite easily.
