Tepet Makara Another day in the Great Forks as Makara browses through the stalls for street food. Despite being a dynast, he has a particularly voracious appetite especially for meat stuff. Besides eating sticks of barbecued meat, he seems to be reading a map between the Scavenger Lands and the Far East. It seems he drew some notes near the trade routes from Greyfalls to Ixcoatli.

""Hmm I wonder which area has the most concentration of bandits and other threats to the merchants" He ponders as he takes another bite like a carnivore"

Amilar Ereyo Out of the many small temples in this crowded, lively district of myriad little gods and their cults steps a lone figure, looking slightly disheveled. She shields her eyes from the afternoon sun and exchanges a few words with a small group of soldiers who were leaning on the temple wall next to the entrance, and now snap to attention at Ereyo's arrival.

After ordering them to stay put - something that's obvious enough to anyone with so much as a sliver of military training by her body language alone, even if the actual words are lost in the steady drone of food sellers, priests loudly praising the benefits of joining their cult, and chatting passersby - Ereyo starts walking away on her own. It takes her a while to make her way through the crowds, scanning the food stalls. Somehow she ends up close to the point where Makara is standing. He can overhear her ordering no less than six servings of soup with rice noodles and fried shrimp.

While she waits for the slightly overwhelmed owner of the stall to fulfill her order, Ereyo's eyes dart across the people standing nearby. As her eyes meet Makara's, she pauses, instant recognition evident in her face.

"Oh, I'm sorry!", she blurts out. "I didn't notice you there. It's Tepet Makara, isn't it? Do you remember me?"

Tepet Makara "Oh where are my manners? Very undynast of me for eating like a starved animal." He gulps once he sees his fellow dragon and wipes off the mess from his face. "Ah Amilar Ereyo, glad to see you once again here in the city of the little gods." Makara seems to not wear his grey kimono from before, but an armor of black jade with iconography related to Immaculate and his once prestigious Great House. It seems to be of old Shogunate design from it's aesthetics.

"Ive been preoccupied with my position lately. I'm hoping to convince my satrap to get rid of banditry in routes important to the Far Eastern trade. My superiors, House Cynis seems to be disinterested so far but I shouldn't be surprised considering for what they are known for. I know some individual members who are decent though"

Amilar Ereyo Upon closer examination, Ereyo doesn't look well. Her polite smile fails to distract from the dark circles under her eyes, and the Air Aspect's casual uniform sits a bit askew, as if she didn't really care to adjust it in front of a mirror. The tangled mess of her hair, on the other hand, looks familiar from their first meeting.

Makara's artifact armor immediately draws her eye, and she looks it over with appreciation, but doesn't comment on it. Instead, she gives a court nod in response to his words, with a sideward glance to the map he was studying.

"I'm surprised to hear House Cynis simply... shrugging off such a threat. Aren't they interested in keeping the trade along the Golden Road safe?", she remarks, frowning slightly. "And more importantly: Why are you telling me this? Is your position so demanding that you would need to enlist Lookshy's help?" That last question is delivered with a smirk and a slightly raised eyebrow.

Tepet Makara "Oh I overexplained again. Ha, my colleagues sometimes take note of it. But I should deal with that myself along with my legionnaires. If I do get the approval, I'll mobilize them. I suspect the reason the house hasn't acted yet is due to most of the areas being out of Greyfall's reach as Realm influence isn't exactly liked here thanks to the invasions. They may attract the attention of whatever power lurks in the woods of the Far East and we certainly don't want another Thorns." Makara sighs as he has to deal with bureaucratic baggage first before he can enact the plan. However the sadness under Ereyo's smile caught his attention.

"Hmmm did something happen? You look paler than usual" He says with a hint of concern towards his fellow prince of the earth.

Amilar Ereyo Ereyo actually tries hard to ~not~ roll her eyes upon hearing Makara talk about the Realm's image in the region. Her smile falters when she hears him mentioning Thorns.

At his concerned inquiry, she quickly looks away and busies herself with watching the soup vendor dipping fresh shrimp in batter with deft hands. As soon as the crustaceans hit the wok's hot oil, a mouth-watering smell drifts over to the two Dragons.

The Lookshyan twirls her fingers listlessly and glances towards Makara again, still failing to meet his gaze. "Thank you for your concern. Yes, something happened... but I'm in good hands, and I would rather not talk about it." She swallows, hard. A memory seems to drift by, momentarily darkening the color of her eyes. Despite the afternoon heat, she shivers. "Let's... just say that there's more than one Anathema running free in the Hundred Kingdoms. I can't really say I'm surprised. A region with constantly shifting borders... who knows what else might be hiding out there." She seems to deliberate something for a few moments, then cocks her head at the Tepet. "Do you think there could be a connection between the monsters lurking in the Far Eastern woods that you mentioned, the bandits, and the recent sightings of Anathema close to the border to your satrapy?"

Tepet Makara "Besides rumors of a kingdom ran by the so called Queen Of Fangs deep in the Far East, it's possible that they may fund the bandits to disrupt any operations that may strengthen any Immaculate states. I hear that the kingdom in that region is where dragons fear to tread. Instead of us hunting them done, it is where the tables are turned" He says grimly from what he knows about possible anathema in the Scavenger Lands but then, the mention of another anathema in the Hundred Kingdoms caught his attention.

"Another Anathema? Dragons preserve us from the threats against Creation. I know you are not in the mood, but are they lunar by any chance? I heard rumors about a particular one especially concerning his abilities"

Amilar Ereyo The word "Lunar" alone is enough to make Ereyo grow even paler than she already is today. In what looks like an attempt to either comfort or shield, she wraps her arms around herself. Although she tries her very best to not let her feelings reach her face and attempts to craft a mask of impassiveness, she can do little to hide how her irises turn dark blue, and the winds around the Air Dragon pick up noticeably - Makara suddenly has to tighten his grip on the map.

"Yes", Ereyo finally manages, after taking a few shaky breaths to steady herself. "A necromancer. I don't know if he is at all related to Mahalanka, and the old, powerful evil that rules there. In any case, I would very much like to not go into more detail." Here, her voice turns pleading. "If you already heard rumors, and you're tasked with keeping track of threats around Greyfalls, I strongly suggest to be wary of that demon. It could be anywhere... anyone."

Tepet Makara "It's the same one then. I hear he calls himself the Demon-Dragon Tyrant. I heard stories of that silver warlock experimenting with certain locales in the Hundred Kingdoms, usually ruins of dead Kingdoms and graveyards." He gives what he knows of the anathema to his fellow dragon in case they encounter him again. "I see you are distraught with meeting this creature. I should stop for now if it pains you, but I only tell what I know in case you have the dreaded misfortune in encountering him once again.

Despite the sadness of Ereyo, the Tepet does his best to comfort her. "If that anathema ever shows his face in the kingdoms, he shall taste the tides of wrath from a master of Water Dragon Style." He says with bravado despite the dangers of fighting one.

Azure Blue Wandering through the streets of Great Forks, the Alchemist with Aproximate knowledge of many crafts made his way through. Noting the presence of one person he had seen before, talking to someone new.

He would approach them both, and with a tip of his hat say, "Greetings to you both, I trust the morning keeps you in fine spirits?" He tilts his head as he asks, curious and eager to meet someone new.

"I do apologize for having had to depart from our earlier conversation, I had an urgent matter to take care of within my staff. Nothing too strenous of course."

Amilar Ereyo A shy smile tugs at the corners of Ereyo's mouth, although she stops it from growing further. Indeed, she only looks slightly less miserable, despite Makara's best efforts. A strange contrast to the sunlit street with its colorful stalls and patrons milling about in brightly clothed garments, laughing in delight.

The scion of Gens Amilar allows silence to stretch between her and the other Dragon for a bit, watching the crowds of people - not all of them human - passing them by without sparing so much as a fleeting glance for them. "You are certainly brave", she finally says in a low voice, turning back towards Makara, who receives her full attention again. "But I wouldn't approach that... creature without backup, if I were you. Maybe there's a way to-"

Here, the newcomer interjects, and Ereyo leaves that sentence hanging in the air, unfinished, as she gives the stranger - who seems to know Makara - a long, careful look. Whatever she had wanted to say, she seems unwilling to continue speaking in front of an unfamiliar face.

Instead, she offers a confused "Uhm... Greetings to you, too...", before shooting the Tepet a questioning glance.

Tepet Makara "Ah it's the mortal alchemist from before. I'm afraid I didn't caught your name yet?" He says with curiosity wondering about the man's name. "This is Amilar Ereyo, a scion of the Seventh Legion" He introduces the air aspect to the alchemist but then turns his attention back to Ereyo. "Of course I won't fight him alone. It takes planning to defeat an anathema after, not just sheer skill, strength or magic."

"Hopefully I'll try to pry information about the anathema, in case he has a hidden lair somewhere in the kingdoms. But of course, I'll try to be careful when doing it. Not all of the nations there are sympathetic to Immaculates or dragons"

Amilar Ereyo After Makara mentions the stranger's profession, Ereyo gives the man another, longer look, more curious now, and nods at him. However, the continuation of her current conversation with the other Dragon-Blooded draws her attention quickly back to Makara.

"You're correct about that", she agrees grimly. "Judginge by the way you plan to approach this issue, you have some first-hand experience with Wyld Hunts, which I lack. Truth be told, I doubt I could be of much help. My expertise lies elsewhere, and while I'm perfectly capable of defending myself, I would hardly call myself a battlefield sorcerer."

Ereyo spends a few moments lost in thought, chewing her lip. "As you might recall, there have been more than a few instances of Seventh Legion forces joining Realm-backed Wyld Hunts in the past. Should your search for that necromancer's lair prove successful, I could pass the information along. Someone higher up in the chain of command would certainly be interested in reigning in the Anathema before he becomes too powerful."

Tepet Makara "I have not been in Wyld Hunts admittedly but I'm experienced with those that trained shikari since my sifu in Water Dragon is one. He's a strict teacher but his lessons are useful in the long run. Sadly, he's mostly preoccupied in Northern satrapies so I rarely meet him nowadays but he does like his surprise visits" Then his attention shifts to the topic regarding past Wyld Hunts where the Realm and Lookshy once worked together.

"Ah yes, I've heard of tales about it even before I was assigned to Greyfalls since my original position was in the Caul, such as the story surrounding the Glacial Mantle, for it was one of the few moments where even dragons from divided nations can unite together." He remembers the tales about the anathema made artifact told to him once by other members of his house.

Amilar Ereyo "I've heard much talk about the arduous training required to achieve mastery in one of the dragon styles. In my experience, the strictest teachers are those who recognize their student's potential." Ereyo finds her friendly smile again, picks it up and lets it slowly spread across her face. "No matter how bitter the enmity between our nations, we will always find a way to work together if a greater threat to Creation rears its ugly head. In a way, I find the thought comforting. I myself am just as willing to put our differences aside, for the greater good."

For a moment, Ereyo locks eyes with the other Dragon. Makara gets the sense that these aren't hollow words, spoken to please or placate him - she means what she says, word for word.

"Ah, I can see the soup vendor laying out my order on the counter just now... To be honest, I'm starving, and so are my guards." She motions the five lamellar-clad soldiers closer. "But I'm sure we will run into each other again." Another smile, a warm one this time. "Maybe you can tell me about what you saw on the Caul next time. I would love to hear more about that strange, holy place."

Tepet Makara "I'd love to talk about my experiences in the Caul even if it was very brief due to a sudden reassignment, maybe in another time" He nods to his fellow dragon's words regarding times where the Princes Of The earth must put their differences aside if they were to face the things that threaten Creation, however there is oddly a slight expression of sorrow in Makara's face however it then quickly fades, although it is unknown what caused this.

"I hope you and your guards have a great meal. Reminds me of how I sometimes treat my legionnaires to one of Greyfall's tavern whenever they are out of duty. May the five dragons protect you scion of the Seventh Legion and if you ever encounter the silver anathema again, you can call my services"
