Tepet Makara In the many teahouses of Great Forks, there is the Harmony Of Silence which provides private rooms for meetings usually business dealings in Great Forks. It seems a dynast ordered a small room for a secret meeting with another guest he's expecting. Herald receives an Infallible Messenger from him detailing the location and what room he's in. Makara is currently a bit guilty and depressed after dealing with something but he slowly recovers.

He prepares two cups of matcha tea besides a few snacks in the table as he sits in the tatami mat waiting for someone.

Serene Herald Perfect Question shows up at the teahouse dressed well, and with a satchel. He moves slightly stiffly, but on his brow is a piece of black jade and what looks like steel. When he comes in to the room, he gives a bow. "Hello, master Tepet. Thank you for your patience, and I do have some results on the question you had me look in to."

He sits himself then on the mat and taps the table three times before taking a cup of the tea to sip.

Tepet Makara His mood lights up once he hears of the guest at the door and let's him in. "Ah Perfect Question, glad to see you once again. I have been busy lately with certain stuff but come in and have a seat" The dynast says as he leads him to the tatami mat. It seems he is not wearing his armor today but his usual grey kimono albeit the quality of the fabric has changed into something more expensive and wears some jewelry such as jade rings as if he's now as rich as other dynasts now.

"so what does the fortune tell about my brother of mine. I can't believe he lied being on the Blessed Isle despite his claims through letters"

Serene Herald Serene Herald shakes his head. "No. The Captain, the Peacock, the Gauntlet, and the Mask have figured prominantly in his present and future. Journeys he leads, and often, but close, and to a place of great strife. There, he--forgive me, patron, but you have asked for truth. I would not speak ill of your family otherwise. He is a criminal there, a thief. Finding and taking what is not rightfully his save by uncovering and seizing it. The stars show greed and seeking of wealth. But also of hard decisions--the decision to do this in the first place. Decisions both on the Isle and where else he is. Hard vs harder, where his goals dictate every decision made."

Perfect Question pauses a moment, "I have a full report here, both what I saw and the interpretation thereof if you wish to have anyone else verify the...difficulty of your kinsman. And have you questions, I will answer."

Tepet Makara "I would rather hear the bitterest truth than the sweetest of lies" Makara is shocked to hear that his own brother has been dealing with unsavory affairs which makes him no better than a Sesus or a Ragara although he knows he may be no better as he's a lunar posing as a dragonblood. He sips the matcha tea in anticipation of the truth being revealed.

"I'd like to see a full report no matter how bad it is"

Serene Herald Question opens his satchel then and slides the sheaf of papers across, filled with astrological diagrams, mathematical calculations, and densely written Old Realm. "Here it is, feel free to peruse it at your leisure." He shakes his head. "I am sorry for the time it took, but things were unclear for a long time. Now...is there anything else I can advise you with? You looked distressed before I came in. If it an issure I should not know, I will pry no further."
Tepet Makara "I prefer to keep it private for now since it thankfully got resolved but with a price. I should try to get to the Caul to see what he is up to besides trying to find an ancient connection between the chosen of the moon and earth" He says but doesn't specify what it's about. Makara then turns to Question with a curious glance as he seems to have an inquiry for a different subject.

"This isn't related to anything but what are you really? I saw the martial art stance last time we meet and I remember it's used by the chosen when it comes to daiklaves. I won't be mad if you hide you were some sort of chosen all along. It would be hypocritical for me since I am a dragon of the full moon rather than water"

Serene Herald Serene Herald inhales and goes still, closing his eyes. For a moment, nothing seems different, but then, the scholarly persona is....not gone, but somewhat transmuted. Sharper, more focused. And for just a moment Perfect Question looks unearthly. When he speaks again, his Old Tongue no longer has the Flametongue accent before, but a different sound. Those who have visited before, would recognize it as from Yu-Shan.

"I am actually called Talany. A minor god among the halls of heaven. I am currently...I think the term is 'slumming it' in Creation, just as Dynasts 'slum it' out in the Satrapies, or even beyond the farthest reaches of the Realm. I am gaining experience that is supposed to stand me in good stead when I finally take up a mantle and position and have to deal with other gods all the time to try to get things done."

Tepet Makara Makara almost spits his tea out as it's revealed the scholar he has been talking to has been a god all along. "I meet a god who owned another teahouse in Great Forks but a wandering god? Now that's surprising." That makes sense he wields a blade of starmetal and knowledgeable about certain things. "I thought you were an exigent but I don't mind. Admittedly I was uncomfortable seeing your starmetal blade last time for some reason"

"I think it was because of nightmares I once had although thankfully they aren't frequent now"

Serene Herald "It is sometimes that we are expected to fail in our wanderings, and come up to never have a position. Sometimes it is to test us for great things. Sometimes, it's just so that we no longer have access to the expense accounts for a while, and when we are suitably chastised, we are welcomed back." Talany smiles wryly.

"Why would you have nightmares of starmetal in particular, I wonder? Perhaps you should seek a god of dreams and nightmares to petition that you no longer be plagued by them?" Talany pauses, "Of course, unless they are omens of what was, what is, and what yet might be. If they are true--from the gates of horn rather than ivory--you would ratherhave the bitterest truth than the sweetest lie, yes?"

Tepet Makara "I already resolved that but it has something to do with my past life. My past incarnation was traveling in the Underworld with his mate to prepare revenge against the dragonblooded betrayers and whatever he meant by treacherous advisers. After completing an armor of soulsteel and moonsilver in hopes of turning the tide, his solar mate was slain by an assassin with daggers made of starmetal" He mentions the reason why he's uncomfortable in the presence of such weapon made with that metal.

"But the dreams are not as erratic now so that won't be a problem for me" He sighs in relief as his dreams are not as dreadful as they are in the past.

Serene Herald "I understand," Talany says soberly, with a nod of respect. "The past casts shadows over us all, and we cast shadows over the future. I am glad that things are better for you, though, and I do have a request. Please do not let others know of my status, just treat me as Perfect Question, the Southern scholar who left Chiarascuro in a cloud of suspicion. Please?"
Tepet Makara "I promise I won't tell you of your true nature like how you didn't snitch me to the Wyld Hunt as I would have been dead a long time ago" He takes a sip of his tea once again as he almost finishes the drink. "I hope we meet again "Perfect Question" and I hope your goal in getting a good position in heaven will be achieved"

"I think I'll probably be busy and prepare for a trip to the Caul, whether with others or alone"
