Amilar Ereyo Somewhere near the banks of the Rolling River, the recent floods have caused an entire hillside to collapse, revealing ancient pillars and half-collapsed buildings. Tunnels beneath the ruins practically beg to be explored.

The discovery is still fresh enough to not have attracted swarms of scavengers... yet. But as it turns out, Lookshy was already able to sent someone: A lone soldier, clad in sky blue lamellar armor and armed with a long, slender daiklave, is busy examining the Old Realm writing on one of the exposed pillars.

She didn't come entirely without company - an enormous wolfhound, big enough for a grown person to ride on (and indeed equipped with a saddle and bridle) - roams near her, alert for any danger to its master. The hounds fur sometimes turns translucent and ripples with unseen winds, hinting at its supernatural nature.

Fudou the Mountain It has been some time since the titanic Fudou the Mountain has been seen in Great Forks. As the Congregation of Victory wound to its conclusion, he had vanished even from the competition and did not participate in the final matches.

There are...numerous reasons why. Reasons pertaining to the safety of others and the plans being set forth by those who the giant considered peers but in the aftermath of that he could not even be found among the city bars, brothels, tea houses or even in his lair somewhere in the depths of the warehouse district. Well hidden.

But messages can still find their way towards him and word and rumor of the activities of his comrades was not beyond his notice even if his attention had taken him further east and further south for a time.

Until now.

So for some time now, Ereyo had been tailed. Followed by various creatures of wood and wild that kept a safe distance from that protective guardian fo hers but was never too far off....until the present moment. A large hawk appears, landing atop one of the still standing pillars of the revealed ruins to watch the Lookshyan woman from high above. Can a hawk appear thoughtful? This one does.

Tepet Makara Makara is already ashamed by what he did but he hopes to make amends but he won't be surprised if it's denied but he won't mind at all. The hawk is not the only one following Ereyo, for there is a raiton that is besides the other feathered creature. It simply observes the Air Aspect although it does nothing notable but merely watching the Lookshyan's activities.

He would have picked a more aquatic shape such as a shark to swim in the nearby river, but it may alarm her more so he picked a safer one.

Amilar Ereyo The hound notices both birds alighting on one of the pillars nearby and sniffs in their direction, but doesn't seem to mind them too much, probably not recognizing them as possible threats.

Just as it decides to sit back on its haunches, Ereyo gives a low whistle and rises from a crouched position, calling to the creature: "Come over here, boy. I'm in need of your nose." She points something out to the huge canine - something on the pillar. It looks suspiciously like claw marks. "Pick up the scent and find out if whatever did this is still in the area", she commands, and the hound instantly obeys and gets to sniffing.

While it's busy examining the pillar in her stead, the Lookshyan steps away to take a swig from her water flask. Her gaze sweeps over the other pillars... and then she pauses, squinting at the two birds.

"That is rather strange", she mutters, frowning and taking a step closer, now staring at the pair. "Since when do hawks and raitons get along...?"

Fudou the Mountain Indeed the raiton is noticed by the hawk. Can a hawk also look annoyed? This one does. Perhaps it would have preferred that the other lunar chosen a different method but their ways are different and varied. To each their own.

Either way, its arrival serves as some sort of a cue and if that wasn't enough...the fact that Ereyo took notice of them certainly is. So the hawk takes flight once more.

It circles overhead, opting considering the ruins in a wide pass before coming back towards the pillar, swinging around it....

And then emerging into the form of the distinctly massive gigantic form of The Mountain.

He's still partially in the air when he transforms and he reahes a huge arm out to grasp hold of the pillar and use it to brace himself and then descend downwards towards the ground of the ancient site.

A wide brim green hat rests on his head and a very lengthy long coat hangs about his gigantic body as well. Thick well worn leggings and various criss crossing belts and ropes upon his torso. Could he be mistaken for a -third- wandering giant? It's possible at first glance as it's been awhile but a long enough look would peg him as that supposed behemoth of Great Forks. Except, this not the gladiator exigent strongman in terms of outfit and costume. and as he lands he goes into a crouch and reaches up to keep his hat tilted down slightly as if to hide his face for a few more seconds. Moonsilver tattoos gleam, quite visibly on his body in swirling detailed patterns and mosiacs.

Tepet Makara After the hawk reveals his true form, the raiton follows as well for a flash of bright silver light envelops it revealing his true form to be a draconic beastman in a martial artist's garb and Ereyo recognizes him as none other than Demon-Dragon Tyrant....or Tepet Iasomul Makara outside of his dynast guise. It seems he lacks the armor like last time, although it's possible it signifies he doesn't intend harm or aggression to the scion of Gens Amilar. His pterodactyl wings spread out once he takes this monstrous shape.

"Do not worry, we are not here to be your enemies" He says to Ereyo in an assuring tone but he won't be surprised if it was rejected again.

Amilar Ereyo Ereyo's eyes widen as the first bird transforms into a giant of a man with gleaming silver tattoos. The hound swivels around, fangs bared, baying at a deafening volume while rushing to her side. Out of the lantern's flame glides a glowing ember and transforms into a huge flaming sword next to the sorcerer.

She reacts purely on instinct and draws her blue jade blade without even pausing to take a closer look at who ~exactly~ her supposed attackers are - when the raiton transforms into a much more intimidating form, Ereyo screams a wordless battle cry, adopts a defensive stance, backing up against the closest pillar, and raises her free hand, probably readying herself to weave a spell.

But Makara's words, a bit difficult to hear over the hound's aggressive baying, give her pause. She freezes, stares at the Demon-Dragon Tyrant, then at the enormous "Exigent", and blurts out: "...Makara? Fudou...? What... why?"

Fudou the Mountain The giant breathes out a slight sigh before shaking his head at Makara, "Of all the forms you choose your hybrid form? For Luna's sake, Makara.. You haven't changed abit...." his rumble is sardonic and rueful as he adresses the other lunar first. "How can she possibly talk when you're going around terrorizing everyone on each appearence...."

He slowly reaches up and removes his hat, revealing his full features and a slowly growing smile as he looks to Ereyo, "Hello again, luv. It's been a minute..."

He sweeps his massive arms to the side and bows to her as he tips his hat. "Yes. I am Fudou. The same one that claimed to be an Exigent. That was a lie. I am a Yennin of Volivat though. That is a truth. You know, I didn't -have- to claim to be an Exigent but it was a fun lie for what it was worth. The Yennin of Volivat are champions who use essence. I should have simply relied on that.."

He looks her over, "Why? I understand you have a little bit of a dilemma on your hands ....and I thought the time for subterfuge has passed since I am no longer fully tied to Great Forks..."

Tepet Makara "Sometimes I do not know why I prefer this form in private or away from the eyes of others. Well you did reveal yourself with moonsilver tattoos after all" He sighs although his preference in using this form is private for now. "Hopefully that exigent you were working with got rid of the nightmares about the Lunar who attacked you." He says while unaware that Rishi already revealed herself to Ereyo about the true nature of her exaltation. However Fudou not being fully tied to Great Forks is news to him.

"I assume you are still seeking the Lunar that caused you trouble in the past?" Makara says to Ereyo, wondering if she's still intend in hunting them down, without his help or not

Amilar Ereyo Seeing that violence is unnecessary for the moment, Ereyo hesitantly lowers her blade. Mist has already gathered around the ice-cold blade and now swirls through the erratic winds tearing at her hair. She quiets the hound with a sharp whistle.

After hearing both Lunars out, she laughs softly, without mirth. "Why am I not surprised? Lunars and Solars hiding as Exigents... once you caught one, it gets old fast", she says to the Yennin-Lunar, sounding wistful.

Her storm-darkened eyes then travel to Makara, and she nods. "I do. In fact, I have been able to make progress. Why? What's it to you?" Addressing both of them again now. "If you have been following me to talk me out of it, know that I am not going to back down from this. In order to stop me, you would have to end me."

Fudou the Mountain "Hmm...you are taking this rather well. 'Once you caught one'?"

Fudou arcs an eyebrow and then seems to give a bit of a knowing smile before simply moving on while replacing his hat.

"Demon-Dragon Tyrant here....gave me a bit of gossip regarding your...circumstance. I am well connected among our peers. I do not say this to brag but I know more then he in regards to our kind...at least....well.." He pauses and then rumbles, "So far as our connections go I think."

He is being evasive there as there are clearly some things best left unsaid.

He considers her for a few longer moments and then rumbles, "I won't try and talk you out of it this if it's your goal. But...I wanted to learn more for myself. To know why this lies on you and see who it is that's earned your vengeance...."

Tepet Makara "Well you certainly know more about our kind's society, since I am not part of the Silver Pact nor do I intend to join even if given the chance" He says to Fudou but turns to Ereyo regarding planning her vengeance. "I don't mind if you still hunt the Lunar who did this to you, but I can offer my services if you want for free...if you want. This isn't the first time I fought against a fellow lunar since I sadly had to fight...a student from my own past life. He's the type of Lunar you should worry about since he's as bloodthirsty as shikari when it comes to your kind." It seems there are some Lunars that are just as murderous as the Wyld Hunt, thirsting for the blood of dragons
Amilar Ereyo The Air Aspect lets out a rather ambiguous sigh - relief? exasperation? - and finally sheathes her blade. "I see that word travels fast around the Pact", she remarks on Fudou's words, the corners of her mouth twitching with a fleeting, sardonic smile. "No need to tiptoe around it. I have learned much about your kind in the last few weeks, mostly thanks to Rishi's attempts at convincing me that Lunar's Chosen are, in fact, people. But that is another matter."

The hound nudges her with its snout, and she extends a hand to pat its head, all while eyeing the two Lunars in quiet contemplation. It's not even necessary for her to reach down, large as the creature is.

"My research in the matter has already turned up a few clues. I know only his name - Twilight Rain - and his status as a student of one of your elders, what you would call a Shahan-ya, I suppose. But as much as Sublime Danger doesn't seem to mind me embarking on a hunt against her adherent, she certainly won't do anything to actively ~help~ me. Not that I would want or expect her to."

Scoffing, she reaches up to knead the creases on her forehead. "To answer your questions, Fudou... Twilight Rain killed many of my fellow soldiers, including the ones I was sworn to protect." Her voice turns bitter and cold as ice. "He almost managed to end me in that same attack, too. It cost me my leg. But that wasn't enough... he tormented me in my nightmares for months, until Rishi drove him out. Ironic, isn't it? It took another Lunar to free me of his influence."

Fudou the Mountain Fudou's glare at Makara is fleeting as Ereyo reveals just how much she already knows of her own accord. This softens his glare to the other lunar to one of mild exasperation. After all, what if she -didn't- know.

"You have -got- to still work on not being so damned transparent. At least it worked out in this case but for luna's sake, by now you should be better at that then this...."

His rebuke softens abit and he shakes his head and just gives Makara a slowly growing grin and then he looks back to Ereyo and considers her words...and then nods his head.

"Rishi..I guessed that based on what you said earlier. SO then, you've found us all out. No doubt you understand -why- the subterfuge is necessary. You seem to be taknig it rather well. Yes...Lunar's are just people. The proof is in your story isn't it? 'People' are capable of great kindness and great cruelty. HOw much cruelty have the Dragonblood inflicted on the world in the name of their dogma? How much kindness as well? That's something I am learning to accept myself."

He considers her for a few long seconds and then says, "Your grievance is valid, in my opinion. Simply being a lunar doesn't mean you're exempt from the consequences of your actions. If he would torment someone and create an enemy he should face that enemy but I have to ask you...how do you plan to kill him? If he did that much to you in the past, you must understand that on your own you couldn't possibly defeat him...?"

Tepet Makara "I know the pain in being helpless and watching your comrades die thanks to a great peril....something I know all too well" He says with sorrow as he remembers the frigid winds in the North and it's chill that brings death and despair. "I have to admit, I'm not exactly a subtle person but I can be deceptive in some ways. I may not be silent as a mouse but I am like a chameleon changing his colors or an octopus fooling prey and predator into thinking they are a fish by contorting it's body and changing color. But yeah, I do need to be more subtle" He sighs and turns to the topic about Twilight Rain at hand

"Tormenting you in your nightmares? I guess he has manifested a power similar to mine most Lunars call Nightmare Scar Memento although I do not know the true extent of his nightmare inducing capabilities."

Amilar Ereyo Ereyo dismisses the flaming sword, which has been hovering rather menacingly on her side, with a quick flick of the wrist while the words of the two Moon-Chosen wash over her. When she turns back towards them, the winds around her have quietened down somewhat, and her irises changed back to their usual bright violet.

She has to take a deep breath, then stares at her feet and mutters, maybe more to herself, although both Fudou and Makara can understand her quite clearly: "There is much I still don't know about how much of what I have been taught is truth and what is falsehood, and how the Blood of the Dragon and those gifted - or cursed - with Luna's power came to wage a constant war of attrition against each other for what must have been many centuries by now, if not milennia. It's all... confusing, and much bigger than I expected at first."

Looking back up, the sorcerer-engineer's grim determination becomes plainly visible in her face, and in the way her hands curl up into fists. "Is that so?", she says to Makara, staring at him without blinking. "He manifested as a swarm of giant centipedes in my dreams, wreathed in shadow. No matter how pleasant the dream, he was always there, turning it into a nightmare".

She shivers violently, but quickly composes herself and looks at Fudou. "Of course I know he is powerful. I witnessed him devastate a Seventh Legion talon. But why would I face him alone? Have you forgotten who I am?"

The Air Aspect raises her chin and sets her jaw. "I am armed with the most powerful weapon in the world: Knowledge, and the mind to wield it. Once I've managed to gather enough intelligence on Twilight Rain, I will call for a Wyld Hunt, and my cousins will flock to my banner. A hidden foe is much more dangerous than an exposed and cornered monster, one we will be prepared to deal with."

With a long side glance at Makara, she adds: "Your offer is noted, but I will not depend on another Lunar again to rid myself of him. This is a fight for Dragons."
