Seeker A slaver's caravan was traveling through the thick brush. A year of no passage had caused the foliage to overgrow the path is some areas. Water had worn other areas away.

It had been a while since a caravan had headed out this way. Some rumors of hulking beasts attacking anything that traveled the area. Most merchants had decided it wasn't worth it. But for Nelith, it was opportunity!

Coming to a halt due to a fallen tree, Nelith is called to the front. As she approaches her security officer, he points to the tree. "Yes," she snips at him. "It's in the way. Move it." She starts to turn and leave.

"Someone fell this tree recently. Someone wanted to stop us," the security officer replies.

Annoyed, Nelith spins back around. "Who?" she snaps forcefully. Arms going out wide. "Who is around here to..." Her voice cuts off.

Oko Having tracked the caravan for most of the day, Oko had run ahead and felled a tree in the way. He had no use of slaves in his region.

Now that the caravan has stopped, he stepped out of the woods in all his viscous majesty. His hulking form, thick hide, and dark fur were not what the caravan had prepared for. Bellowing a mighty roar, he jumps at the first person near him.

Seeker "Wha... What... What is that?!" Nelith stammers as she falls backwards. Her completion now pale. Her hands and feet are scrambling to find a footing to move away from the beast that has appeared at the middle of the caravan.

The security officer, snickers a bit at his employer, starts barking orders to his men. Most listen, as they are trained. Some are too weak willed and end up trembling as a massive paw slams into them and they take a fatal flight.

Oko 'Puny humans,' Oko thinks as he walks from one guard to the next. Their weapons can't cut his thick hide. Their bones crunch under the weight of his heavy paw. Their bodies collapse after slamming into a tree, the ground, or his knees.

Some shoot arrows. Those too are ineffective. Annoying, but useless. The fear is mounting as the guards as dispatched one, by slow one.

Seeker The security officer, sensing the rising panic in his men, bellows out to form up. The spread men will be easy pickings for the monster. They might stand a chance if they form up.

The guards that heard snap out of their panic and run over with spears when available, and swords otherwise. "Form up. Two ranks. Spears out."

"Stop that thing!" Nelith shouts, pointing at Oko. "Why don't you stop that thing?!"

Kneeling down, the security officer speaks softly, but clearly to Nelith. "I'd wager that there beast is a chosen of the moon." He takes a quick look back. "This will be our last day for they are all mad men." Standing back up, the security officer stands and brushes off the dirt from his knee. "Fucking merchants," he mumbles.

Oko Seeing the spear wall in front of him, Oko smiles a bit. "Good, someone didn't panic," he muses. Moving to one of the jail carts, with terrified persons inside, he rips off the metal door. Holding it above his head he continues to advance on the wall.

Grasping the two rails at one end he slams the metal grate down from above. The guards panic and lift their spears in an attempt to defend. Those in the middle of the door are slammed to the ground, cracked skull, broken ribs, if alive. The spear wall has broken.

Seeker Seeing the door ripped off so easily, and knowing what is about to come, the security officer can only say one thing: "Fuck."

...

Nelith sits in shock. She has pissed her self, thrown up, and wants to again. All the guards lay in heaps of flesh and bone now. The monstrosity towers over her. "What do you want?! I'll give you everything I have!" She tries to bargain.

Oko Oko chuckles at this last attempt. "No. I want nothing from you for you can not give freedom." He lowers himself to be in Nelith's face. "There is only one thing for you." Taking her head in his massive claws he stands again, lifting her from the ground.

He starts to apply pressure. Increasing it bit by bit. Watching as the one in his grasp starts to feel the pain, starts to understand what's about to happen. "POP." The head finally can't take the pressure any more and explodes. Oko drops the body and turns back to the caravan.

...

With all the cages open, Oko provides the former slaves with a crude map of the area and directions for the closest town. "Take what ever is here. It will help you start your life."

He moves back into the woods. His work done. The chains broken.
